Lightbringer vs Soulblight
I thought the general opinion was that evils have more powerful equipment, because they fight eachother for it. A good aligned character can obtain items safely from requesting, and will not need to defend herself from others of her align.
Was there not a recent purge of items that decreased the amount of rares available and in circulation?
I think it would be cool to have two weps that you can merge into one super cool weapon, like light sword and dark sword to create an uber balance sword...somethin like that

That's what I though too - cooler eq and skills for evils but you get the real pointy end of the danger situation in FL.
Not a real big trade IMHO......

This is what i been telling for ages.
2 handed swords are stupid, expecialy for elfs. I mean a 2 handed polearm is king because polearms are the best weapon in game. 1 handed swords make a lot more sense for elves than 2 handed swords.
My days of getting lightbringer are long gone, i just get the heron blade and a shield. More ofensive power, more defensive power. If i want a 2 handed weapon i get a cursed polearm.
And one would imagine that the light bringer would bring light as damage, but nooooo!!!, sinse Same old Overpowerd class are the pets of FL we cant have goodies having light based attack, so it slashes.
You are better of with the high guardian sword.
Just get a fire lance instead of Lightbringer.
It does make sense that it should be one handed.
Ah, I remember those times when that elf only flail couldn't be parried or dodged.

Do you ever see heroes of movies using a shield? Hell no, when they have a super awesome sword of bad-guy killing, they use it in two hands.
It doesn't make sense to have a sword a shield. Shields are for pansies.

Lightbringer was one-handed at one time.
Achilles didn't have a super awesome sword of bad-guy killing, he had a regular weapon, a gladius(I think) at that. It was just a baby sword. He needed the shield.

Yes, he uses a spear, but for most of the up close fighting, a spear would be too unwieldy, so he switches to the short sword/gladius/whatever the crap you want to call it.
And yes, it does. So right now, I'm rolling up a human warrior(what I considered Achilles) that runs around telling people to vagina their weapons.
Someone is getting banned shortly... 
But when we change it to 1 handed, elven Crusaders get worse. Wine and chese and more wine. (OK just ignore me)
It a nice idea. Seeing my Pal's running around with a unique sword is nice. But somehow i think im going to start to die more often at Sharazade.
