f0xx
Often, people who seem very "trashy" on first view are actually very new. Others have similar memories as my own, trying to pk at 10 - 15, stalking the fields, etc.... If they have the patience to keep the char and rank up, they are going to pay double and tripple for it, if you can afford it, be a bit lenient to those guys and remember your own starting days. You just read my mind... scary
Pali
Heh... my last paladin got attacked at level 10 in pure newbie gear by a level 13 ogre zerk in a full suit of 30 gear. Got it all because he deleted after I killed him. Just sat at what I figured would be his likely temple.

Pali
What can I say? It's fun beating up people who think they have such an edge that they don't need tactics.
Zhokril
a difference of 30 hr/dr' date=' 300 ac, 20ish saves, 100 hp/mana and a 25+avdam weapon vs someone in camel gear and a practice weapon... Yeah I'd say that can make or break a fight.[/quote'] First of all, the claim that you are going to have that at rank 15 by any legitimate means is ridiculous. Second, there is only one of those factors that makes much of a difference at that rank. If I am level 15 in a full suit of mithril with medallions, bracers, rings and you are in arena/kashangal/ghost gear. You ARE gonna die. First of all, the claim that you are going to have that at rank 15 by any legitimate means is ridiculous. Second, that equipment is not going to give you the win at rank 15, so, I doubt it. jibber
I assure anyone I could probably take out any rank 15 with camel gear and a simple weapon, purely by knowledge. If I see any level 15 w/ all mithril gear and titanium bracers, and rusted medallions, actively PKing, by any means, the first thing I'd do is pray, then post on the Prayer Forum, then proceed in kicking players ***. Deptore
I gotta gree with Zhokril on all of that but one thing. a difference of 30 hr/dr' date=' 300 ac, 20ish saves, 100 hp/mana and a 25+avdam weapon vs someone in camel gear and a practice weapon... Yeah I'd say that can make or break a fight.[/quote'] How can only one of those be a major influence? At lower ranks people have less defense and most likely haven't trained them. 30 hr/dr is going to hurt a lot especially if all you have is parry at 75 because your mage hasn't tanked anything and you're blinded. Saves will be more beneficial because spells aren't trained, 100hp is great because at that level 100 hp is a lot. 25 avgdam weapon is nasty due to low hp. Zhokril
You can eliminate the saves as being helpful because if you die to any c/c at rank 15, it is wholly and entirely your fault, having nothing to do with equipment. The avg dam weapon and hit/dam really won't do much, because there are extensive caps on that at that level. I'm sure you've come across a "good" weapon lying somewhere at low level before and found its done probably less damage than bad ones that are your level. And the hp is the part that will help you, but you arent going get +100 hp at rank 15 - even if you did, that isn't going to make you win, it will help you not die. It is standard to get all that stuff before remorting. 2 tit bracers, 2 rusted medallions, 2 onyx, combat lantern, mithril, soldiers breastplate, jagged boots etc etc. I have done 2 adventurers, both remorted with the best non-rare suit I could muster. A decked Melee/hybrid vs a rogue or c/c at 15 is like strolling up a sheer cliff. Hell, a melee vs a rogue or c/c at 15 is pretty damn uphill in relatively comparable gear. Psycho Child
An adventurer at lvl 30 can get that kind of gear easy with a hunting group. Add in a lvl 15 stone golem and a lvl 30 gharnizon...
KRins
Except.. you're forgetting that Zhokril mentioned there are caps on all of those factors except for hp/mana at lower levels... Dey Oh its capped...only because it is impossible to run some areas though. Just because a cap does exist doesn't mean it isn't borderline impossible to beat someone who remorts from adventurer with the proper eq and pets. 30 hr/dr...that's just a little insane. There was a reason that Korthian had to set level restrictions for the purchase of items back in the KBS days.

tassinvegeta
If anyone pks at level 15 with a level 30 pet they got as adventurer please report that. Same if they pk agressively in rank 30 gear. We allow people to keep both gear and pets for easy ranking. Someone with rank 30 eq + pet better not let us catch them pk agressively. But doesn't it become a problem when us as players are constantly forced to report everything.
Mindflayer
The day I roll out as an adventurer is the day you'll see me rocking herald status. I never pk before 50, unless I'm attacked. That's probably the reason I've never had a qclass/qrace.
Implementor Anume Posted June 21, 2009 Implementor Report Share Posted June 21, 2009 Well, we have the choice of either trusting somewhat in our pbase and smack the ones who abuse this trust or regulate everything, limiting everyone much more in what they can do to prevent abuse. I for my part would rather smack the few than restrict everyone.
