More than time that i did this, Cabal left and Rem Sac'd my rares.

This is also a good bye from me as a player for the time being. The last 6 months have kicked my *** between losing my job, having to move twice, and a general bunch of stuff you don't need to know about. However that is all changing now, as of the end of this week i am leaving the UK for a 6 month trip around Europe, North Africa, East Africa, and then possibly a bit of South Africa depending on time etc... I'll probably pop on the forums from time to time but I can't count on a connection to be able to play from.

The Shout outs.... No way I am possibly going to remember everybody i should, as I played Daviaus since Feb 08. If you feel you should have been on here, then you probably should ;) Sorry.

The Knights

first and foremost -Solec - Truly excellent character in both RP and PK - and it should def have been YOU who got leader! We went through hell and back, literally, and I liked the fact that neither of us were really 'vets' but just by sticking with the characters we both seemed to make a pretty big difference.

Patreus and Elshan - Was a time there with four of us in Knight when we were all seemed fairly dedicated and solid - was a lot of fun, and really appreciated it after some fairly torrid times before then.

Typhoeus - You upped and disappered on me! Really enjoyed our interactions as Mentor and Squire, and I hope you learned something from it, and stuck with the game.

So many other Knights its hard to put names to everybody, sorry if you've been missed.

*******************************************************

The bad guys.

Purikant - A wall of pure death, i caused you to take 1 teleport death, but other than that you pretty much stomped me, awesome RP at the end as well.

Valadar - Enemies back and forth over a long period of time, much props for the RP and PK.

Iraekirra - My absolute bane, Reaver Voker versus elf voker is not nice. Very well played, my one kill on you was probably my fav kill considering how tough you were.

Zaulael - You really came into you own after my availability died, but I wish we'd had a few more chances to go at it. Was screaming at myself after i dispelled you and hellstreamed you at awful in winter, had that been ice storm i would have had you!

Kurvi - Beast, just beast, enjoyed our interactions, excellently Rped and amazing PK power.

Kongol - Not a bad guy at all!!! Pirate through and through, loved your attempts to do something different with syndi

**********************************************************

Massive shout out got to go to Tierry and the rest of the suicide crew as well. You know who you are. I enjoyed some of those desolation trips more than just about anything else.

Of course, the IMMs, i really feel like i let you guys down over the last 6 months or so, but my life has gone through such an up and down period its been tough to be able to give the game the time it deserves.

Anybody i've forgotten, just imagine you are on here, because you would be if i had time to spend longer writing this.

Much love,

Daviaus.

AWWW!! Now I'm bummed out. Daviaus was the absolute man. Both Keriso and Reazal loved him. Enjoy that trip. And my parting advice, since I've been hearing it like everyday myself, its always darkest before the dawn. CATCH ME A RHINO!

I only got to see you a few times, as is understandable from the post, but I genuinely enjoyed every single one of those interactions. I'm bummed. =(

I thought both Solec & Daviaus made a great pair of elders, and seeing either of you guys around was always a highlight of a day.

Good luck on the trip. I'm a bit envious. :D

Good ol' Uncle Davy, really the last of the Old Father Wotharg Knight family. The kids all enjoyed ya and had fun with ya. Sad to see ya go and I hope everything works out so you can come back and have fun with us again.

PieMag

Edit: I'd Love to have a plaque made of our old family tree.

Father: Wotharg

Uncle: Davy

Brother: Tierry

Brother: Maggy

Little Brother: Kerry

Who else was in the family at that time? I know we had some healer mother and prob some others too.

Man, should have stuck with Precila for a little longer - could finally have gotten some of that sweet invoker gear. :-P

In all honesty though, Daviaus went from being a character that I really didn't think I was going to like (and frankly, I thought you sucked and were a n00b, and were going to delete/condie within a couple weeks), to being one of my absolute favorites with Tiernan. That is definitely a contender for some of the best hours I've spent on this game.

Solid character, and a solid presence for the last year.

Have fun and good luck with everything that may be ailing your life right now.

I was just sitting back recalling the early days, Tierry and Maggy running the front while Davvy incinerated fools...Me occasionally altering time. Ugh...I miss those days. I feel like Daviaus deserves a nice long standing ovation. Are we getting closer to more current characters in the HoF? I know Davvy had a huge effect on me over two characters.

Man, this character is old as hell and still had tons of lives. *mutter*

It was fun though. Glad to see you remembered Kongol, I think that was the char we had the most interaction with. Good times.

Come back when you're done with travel and have a damn good time!

Ahhh, good ol' Daviaus. We had some of the best tiems together with Solec didn't we? We never got that ritual of the sun posted did we? Might have to get that done.

And wow, nice score sheet, you totally rocked mine! And almost 30K CP?!?!? My max was around 8k, amazing!

You will be remembered old friend. I wish you the best of luck with real life issues.

I'd love to see a fire giant warrior compete with an ogre ranger archer. Let alone a Sigil one. Assuming Tassin could keep me in combat, he'd have a chance. But then again, the abilities of Sigil would come into effect and that alone would give me an edge. I don't think he'd win.

Assuming equal skill, the ranger would get owned. It would take either greater skill, trickier tactics, or capitalizing on the opponent's mistakes to win that battle. And those basically all boil down to skill.

Is anyone else sitting here thinking' date=' "....so?"[/quote']

LOL. I don't know, I was able to bashlock Triathix before and do disintegrates to ogres (one in particular abusing the heck out of ice arrows) with one of my last fires. Then we also have to consider reaver skills. Who knows?

Give an ogre ranger archer a staff, bone bow, and a enough frost arrows and if I had my way, the Baron's ice arrows and I can guarantee success against any FG combo. The ogre ranger simply needs to be fast. There are a few tactics the FG can do to reduce the chance of the archery being successful, but nothing he can do to eliminate it. If the ogre gets caught in a bash-fest, wimpy flee and camouflage and move away to herb then resume the arrows to the face.

It would be worth it to try out your theories first. You are forgetting that an ogre ranger has just as much vuln to those arrows as the fire warrior does. The only way that would ever work is if there was quite literally no actual engaging ever, since the ogre has a 1-2 shot hp advantage. However, no veteran PKer would ever rely on that, nor would it happen seeing as archery lags while the victim is not. I think you are also misunderstanding the extent of when a wimpy flee will work.
