Grosek_
Mashik? I really don't know what goes on at pinn, has he been taking down some trib, or has he just been more trib fodder?
crackwilly21
We need a fire warrior whip master/ or zerker Reaver leader. Then Marty will be gone. But hey, I like the guy, he's always been more than fair with me, so I can say nothing bad about him. But since everyone seems obsessed with it, that is my suggestion. He'll die of old age before that happens. How long has it been since they had an Elder much less a Leader. That slith blademaster was the last one, the one who couped the thief that was Elder. H&R
nah - cause of cabal abilities and the difference in dex you wouldnt - keep the charmy in mind I never fought an ogre that did more than scratches to me when I was elder/leader (warriors included). I am serious. With a certain item, I very rarely missed my fire bashes. You would most certainly have a huge uphill fight. Anyway. I think Mashik is doing well enough, considering the odds. Props to him.
H&R
Yeah, a fire giant warrior (staff mastery) reaver leader would scare Martineius. But, hey. I like the guy too.
crackwilly21
Yeah yeah, but still, that would own.
-Totenkopf-
Yeah' date=' a fire giant warrior (staff mastery) reaver leader would scare Martineius. But, hey. I like the guy too. [/quote'] Oldschool slith warrior (before debuff) avatar would rape marty. I had one, my god I loved that guy Loucheran was also sweet as, knight leader slith warrior, both decked to the hilt. Though, I do happen to find ogre warriors more of a powerhouse against vampires, last vamp I killed was cariousus on a ogre warrior, eq wise I was fighting a hugely uphill battle, but I pawned him! Pali
A warrior with a staff and basic eq can handle a decked vampire if he never lets the vamp get the first hit in. It's that simple.
Psycho Child
...if he never lets the vamp get the first hit in. It's that simple. Should we add that to the list of essays too? zerk, dk, tracker ranger, ninja could all do the same.

mya
Isnt something bad in the world when the Vamp kilers aren't: Clerics Paladins Healers I mean those are the classes designed to kill them and everyone knows that a mealer would do better... Warpnow
I really don't know what goes on at pinn' date=' has he been taking down some trib, or has he just been more trib fodder?[/quote'] I know he's killed Pominsu at least once and Raniku quite quite a few times, but I also know Martineius is doing the same to him. Basically, he can mess up the lesser Tribs, but Martineius gets him back hard...
Fiere
You know what just occurred to me? What we really need is more people in cabals all around, with a martineius style leader in each one. Admittedly, that might be hard to do, but it would balance the cabal fighting and be a heck of a lot of fun. I think warmaster's on the way up for that, but I don't know about the rest. Ex-D&Der
A warrior with a staff and basic eq can handle a decked vampire if he never lets the vamp get the first hit in. It's that simple. It sounds simple in the abstract, but until you've killed Martineius with a warrior in basic eq, I'm inclined not to regard this as definitive proof. Ditto for trackers. Tom
I think the issue there is you'll never keep him from getting the first hit in; you're agreeing w/ Pali there.
Ex-D&Der
That's one problem, but there are others. With trackers in particular it doesn't work (unless something else is going your way, and even then a slippery vamp can be hard to finish off), since a shield throw lags the thrower for two rounds and the target for like 1 to 1 1/2. Didn't get the kill because I missed a bash. Ain't that the way. I missed kills on many vamps, all from missing bashes. Edit- But I had my way with them in the end. There uppance came.
