Pali
Ain't that the way. I missed kills on many vamps, all from missing bashes. Edit- But I had my way with them in the end. There uppance came. On the other hand, that they sometimes miss DOES make sense, as they ARE supposed to be one of the most powerful beings around...
Ex-D&Der
And my last level 50 warrior beat the crap out of Arath while wearing mithril and a power staff. Didn't get the kill because I missed a bash. Actually I can see this working better for a warrior than a ranger because of a ranger's limited knowledge of weapons. Still, you didn't get the kill... In fact no one did until he was captured by Shaw, if I'm not mistaken. Making someone flee and killing them are two very different things.
Behrens
Actually, Sanse did. Caught him with his pants down at the Flying Citadel. He did get me back later, but the two of us had a lot of fun.

I agree that making someone flee and killing them are very different. The point I'm trying to make is that a warrior can pound a vampire without being nearly as decked. I guess I still object to the idea that it's simple or easy, however. And I still think that if you haven't killed a given vampire, you pretty much shouldn't say it's simple to do so. Also, if you didn't have sanc and he did, it sounds like something else might have been going your way at that moment.
Pali
That I was hitting his vuln with 4-5 attacks a round with a weapon he doesn't have?
Ex-D&Der
No something else, but no way to know for sure. Suffice it to say that until Martineius starts getting owned by warriors in basic eq, I'm not going to be convinced. I'm open to being persuaded by demonstration, however... Despiser
Barnok dinged Arath three times, including once at pinn. And I've never let auzzie down for it since. Ever.
-Totenkopf-
Àzzy used to pound on Barnok when he was well equipped, yet for some reason we always sort of fighted very near the Knight castle, so ya could run in there when wounded. On the other hand when he had **** eq, I got repeditively raped (I recally one day being stupid on the crab island in red dragon, and getting myself repeditively raped, dunno, must have lost >5 lives that day) But then the comeback was killing him when he was decked out in mediocre eq. Despiser
That was before I figured out what the hell I was doing, and long before I got cabal E/L. Old school ninjas FTW!
Grappler
Ya, but... why cant I poison myself? And Arath was Auzzie? How come I didn't know that?
