Not like I was watching his videos and learning the dances to them in my room from 10-14 years old... Or that I can do the thriller dance from Memory... >.>
Malicious
Bah! National news is now saying that his condition is unknown, though he suffered a heart attack, was found not breathing, and had CPR performed on him. Friggin Local news.... Iyorvin
The news stations all took a gamble by saying he is dead. If he dies they can say they were the first to report it . I still see no confirmation from a real news station.

KRins
I feel like I can safely have a son at some point in my life now... In all seriousness, sad day. He was definitely a little screwy, but the man could certainly perform and was very creative. From his early days in the J5 to his later work...the man was the King of Pop. Nikodemus
While I am not a member of the target audience for his musical products, it is nearly impossible to claim that he wasn't a behemot of showmanship and incredibly good at what he did. The King of Pop died today.

I've Killed for Less
So he was a singer? What did he sing?
Imoutgoodbye
So he was a singer? What did he sing? Thriller Billie Jean Beat it Doesn't Matter if your Black or White (not sure if that's the title) A few songs I liked by Michael Jackson. I wasn't ever a really big fan. EDIT: Man in the Mirror! How the **** did I forget that? Awesome song, baby!
Ali_gmud
...EDIT he died far to young - it was not his time IMO
Jacobis
Thriller was his greatest accomplishment. A great album, which showcased his musical talent. Then he up and got retarded.
songofsixpence
Doesn't Matter if your Black or White (not sure if that's the title) Black or White is the actual name. That's a link to the music vid. Pretty standard fare until the last 4 min or so where he goes into full crotch-grabbing danceathon mode. Really shows off his moves. And agreed, it is sad. Though I wasn't a real fan, he had tremendous influence on many many people. The world has lost a great, although very creepy and probably misunderstood man. Ali_gmud
That 'Heal the World' video would of had a huge impact many lives. I've scanned through and the internet is already making youtube videos disrespecting his death and what not.
Imoutgoodbye
Screw the internet. When someone leaves behind a legacy like this for the rest of us to enjoy, their passing can be a great and joyous occassion for us to celebrate their life. samag08
Thought 1 - Great pop tunes back when they came out. A real showman. Thought 2 - Many children are safer now.(Anyone "innocent" would not have paid a 20 million dollar settlement. )
Twinblades713
Samag. Exactly what my first two thoughts were. Exactly. Heh. Hated his music and his moves. Can't deny he had HUGE success.
The Professor
Thought 2 - Many children are safer now.(Anyone "innocent" would not have paid a 20 million dollar settlement. ) I can't say I agree with that... You would think during the burning times that people wouldn't admit to being a witch (the most shameful thing you could do) but they did, so they wouldn't get tortured...or killed. Quite simply he fit the profile...if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck...most likely it is...however, that is not always the case...the very reason we have quotes like, "Can't always judge a book by its cover." but...his lawyers knew that most thought him guilty...so, he was faced with the option to settle (pay a certain amount) or go to trial (pay a certain amount and go to jail) What would you do? Besides, if it was your child and they were molested, would you settle? I would see that b*stard behind bars and/or kill him myself (if or when he got out). Would I leave my kid alone with him? NO, just to be on the safe side. Better safe than sorry...however, I can't say he DID commit the crime especially not based on the fact that he settled out of court...cause you can look at that in many different ways. Why I thought I would go on about my opinion on this matter?...I don't really know...in any case...he was talented and regardless of his personal life I know that many will miss him.
