Zaulael the Dust Cloud

Okay.. I'm shelving him for a little while. I know a lot of people dislike people shelving quest races and quest classes, but I have tried countless times to get back into the groove only to be kicked right back down where I started (no one's fault but mine). I worked my butt off on Zaulael, and I am still VERY much into him, but it's come to my attention that if I don't take a cool down for awhile, for this character, I will ultimately end up asking an Immortal to deny me.

People may throw that I'm shelving because I've been 'looted' so to say. In a way, yes, you're correct. But in a way you're not. Everytime I try to come back a little stronger, or try to get back up onto my feet, there's at least ten of you trying to get your shot at the Lich. I hold no ill feelings to you, because I would probably do the same -- but I'm sure as everyone knows, losing everything everytime you die to some stupid mistake (I make a lot.. obviously, lately) it just starts getting old, and rusty.

I don't want to make anymore mistakes and force myself to ask for a deny. I also don't want to condie him merely on principle that I'm an idiot lately.

I'm very pleased with the Player base thus far with the interactions I get. Sometimes I get negative ones, but that's to be expected being evil and all. But all in all, nothing vague, nothing OOC, and definitely nothing I still don't adore. I appreciate everyone's help in shaping this character, I appreciate the 'Muse' plot that Anume put on for me, and I definitely appreciate the chance I got with the Lich class.

Basically, more of a reason I'm shelving, is not to disappoint Anume (she has a special place in my heart, as well as Zhokril in this game, for being the best Immortals as of yet) and I guess I just still want to try to prove myself in the future. The only reason I'm letting people KNOW that I'm shelving him, is because I'm sure a lot of you have things to say to me. Whether it be negative, positive, or just plain neutral.. it will get me back into the groove when I decide to bring him back out. If the immortals, especially Anume, would rather me delete/get denied to open a Lich spot.. I will do as you ask.

I would like to shoutout to a couple of people that I've had shape my character quite nicely over the past few months.

First and foremost..

Mephisoleer - You're a good guy. Not one evil bone in your body. And quite so, thank you so very much for going along with my plots, being a jerk-off in several different situations, and helping shape my character in more ways then one. We started out rough (me couping you) but in the end, we turned out to be very good acquaintances.

Kurvikhel - We actually started out very well.... until you attacked one of my group mates, a newb in my eyes, and Zaulael took it to heart. I attacked you and nearly got you, and from then on, it's been a complete vendetta war between me and you and Nexus and Syndicate. I remember how our battles were so very close, and then, that one time, I made the mistake of recalling while fighting a couple of Knights, and paid dearly for it by getting killed by a certain thief and basically losing my GODLY set Although I don't think I ever killed you, I know I'm responsible for like 3 of your teleport deaths , and you're responsible for countless deaths after my Lichdom. Cheers on that, and thank you for the long-winded interactions and banter.

Maryusa - I could never really spell your name right, but you were the epitome of a bonded, slave, woman, undead thingie. It worked out well in your favor, and in mine, and you helped in shaping my RP quite well. So sad you just disappeared one day..

Muse (faction) - Thank you to ALL of you for being the coolest people ever, and going along with my plot. I never did think the Playerbase capable (in my hands at least) of actually going along in a plot I worked my butt off for. The playerbase has pleased me so.

Masokant - We had brief interactions. The first two, things went awful for you. The third, I got mangled, killed, strung up, and slapped silly. Then the fourth, you're on up there with the big leagues, Elder in -MY- cabal. How dare you! :-P You deserve it. Thanks for giving me a whooping. And thanks for being classy about it..

Countless other Syndicate - I hate you all. But more seriously, thank you for the countless interactions.. PK and RP alike.

Gorbak - Three or four brief encounters ending in my death twice. I believe I did quite well BEFORE I was a Lich, but as soon as I got Lich.. hell, you stomped me every which way. Definitely one rounded me once. God help me, I don't think I'll ever willingly fight you again unless I have a HUGE advantage.

The rest of Nexus - Thanks for being there and being cool with me. Had fun being an evil bastard, but I couldn't be one without my posse'.

Anume - What can I say? You're the best Immortal, hands down. Your interactions with me keep me wanting more, and the chances you give to those you think will do well keep me on my feet. It definitely makes me feel good to know that you trusted me with a qrace/qclass spot, and I hope you're proud that I pushed my way through it, and did my best. (and will continue doing so. )

Zaulael was/is epic. Very very well RPed and a damn good PK to support the demanding RP you choose.

I've seen the whole situation with Kurvikhel from the start and I wanted to discuss it several times with you, in game that is, but I must admit I never had the guts to openly criticise you

Which speaks damn a lot for the character.

At the time you were around you were the only strong Nexus and were often alone against the KNIGHTs and the Syndi which were both very strong at that time. I would often "save; quit" when I ran out of provisions or when they blow a few pieces of EQ with Sciscuri just to log in later and see you still in the lands fighting them. Zaulael was so inspiring.

Your arrogance was so immense, and Masokant enjoys humiliating people like that. Like you said, it didn't start very well for me, taking two deaths. And when I got you, I was forced into a long talk with Anume about attacking an elder

Very nice char. I remember meeting you when I was still lvl 30 or so and you got me referring to you as the 'evil incarnate' and joining the rift thingy which helped to shape my rp. I wish I was around earlier during the nexus/syndicate wars but you know how dk's go, they take awhile to get going. Can't wait to see what you got going on next

Zaulael was an absolute beast. I loved our interactions as Kiropterynt and Vrasthyn (I think that was his name) the Tribunal battlemage of mine. Much respect.

Zaulael, like Scorvale's little bro or something, I dunno. We had a very erratic love-hate relationship that was consistently interesting. Having our little lich tea parties in a defiled grave and whatnot. Definitely a legit character, and I've interacted with you on another character quite alot as well. I'm impressed with Zaulael, he has alot of class and skill.

Never got that Savant-Nexus alliance going though...
