Dale
Did they always not get this? I could have swore I played a BMG before and he had second attack.
jibber
Unfortunately they've never had second attack for as long as I can remember. And I've played a lot of battlemages.
L-A
One of the bmage spells allows you to do two melee attacks. However, bmage do not get the 'second attack' skill per se. L-A

Twinblades713
I could quote the help file, but I'm sure you have access. Also, dancer then. xP The point was, we don't need to be so ****ing cryptic about everything.

Pali
*shrugs* I agree that haste's effects don't need to be hidden, and I don't think they actually are.
Twinblades713
Meh, whilst I figured it was a question more about bmg melee than training weapons and the like I still contend that it's kinda silly to need rephrasing. That dk spell that's useful when chasing.... (It's called veil of darkness) You know... invokers can get around spell turning. (chain) etc. If I seem like I have a problem, meh. sorry. Lexi
That dk spell that's useful when chasing.... (It's called veil of darkness) Plague. Poison. Energy drain. Curse. Bash?
Twinblades713
Wrong. Plague and poison are those spells that stop regen. Curse is that tactic you use on someone who escaped you because they recalled. Bash is the answer to thieves. See where I'm going with this? Lexi
Poison and plague stops moves regen, and curse prevents them from recalling. Very important while chasing. A lot of people can run while blinded, but no one can run without moves. See where I'm going with this?
Twinblades713
I'll just say it again before it turns into any sort of debate. I think it's quite reasonable to just say the name of the spell/skill instead of trying to shroud it in mystery and keep people in the dark as possible. I really have no investment in arguing about what a dk uses to chase with. It was a tangential example. That was all.

L-A
Haste. Open wide....here comes the aeroplane..... L-A PS - not spoon feeding != being cryptic. To be honest, I thought I was answering the question about second attack. In fact I'm sure I did. PPS - not directed at Melinda, you just happen to be the post I clicked 'Quote' on :-)
Deptore
I thought L-A did fine before, sure the exact spell wasn't named but the right direction was pointed out. I don't like spoon feeding myself because I think it reduces experimentation. Point them in the right direction and let them play around for a bit. At the least this way he would've read some help files and might've learned a new thing or two about other spells.
Imoutgoodbye
Open wide....here comes the aeroplane..... She can spoon feed me all day! Hell, I'll let most of you spoon feed me all day! Too bad I already know most of what you know....except for that really ****ed up thing I saw today.....sorry, I don't spoon feed, even about what I saw. Dale
I was just wondering, I'm sure I rolled one before and he had it, amoung every other class in the game I've played (save monks and blms) but meh, I'm just getting a little rusty in my young age. mya
Use haste when training your weapon. It will cut your training time in half. Also Rank up always using a Practice weapon, for the same reason. 1 attack and no enhanced damage, leaves you with a awful meele output. Keep a staff for PK. Or a weapon with good coded damage, like the short Katana, or the staff of fangs. Some Bmage prefer to use a shield on off hand due to AC bonus. I say use a staff/wand. Sanctuary, curatives, or Word can save your day. As most non c/c will go for the dirt a low-mid ranks leaving you with the chance to Sanct up even blind. Use slow in a Savant area while mastering spells. Master Terra by 30. Master Dancing blades by spam-casting as soon as you can. Master rust. Master Flashfire. Colour spray will go up as you rank. If you need more advise just ask.
