Ilanthas
Greetings all, I am probably going to redo my current char. I am just not happy with him. I did not put too much thought into his backstory, and he just does not feel right. Thanks for everyones help so far. I do have a question though. What is everyones thoughts on when one should actively start with pk? I know you can start at lvl 11. Everyone's thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks, Ilanthas/Greg
mya
Evil - when you feel like it. Good - Start at 30. Neutral - Outside of CabalWarfare, never. You should challenge people or wait for others to initiate PK.
Lexi
Mya: I don't understand how you reason, but I do not agree with you at all. Personally, I think 30+ is a good time to start. All classes have some power at that point on.
Deptore
Evil - when you feel like it. Good - Start at 30. Neutral - Outside of CabalWarfare, never. You should challenge people or wait for others to initiate PK. What Mya is going off of isn't when people are more even on the PK field or when you'll learn the most. She's going off of RP. Evil- An evil who has an advantage at lower levels because your class isn't at a power point and knows he can kill you will of course take advantage of this. Good- Depends on RP, if you're purity and want to slay evils then by rp you would do it as soon as possible. If you're honorable you'd wait until later (30 or so) when people would be more capable of fighting back. Neutral- Neutrals must have a GOOD reason to actively pk. Challenges are great and due to you being neutral you've less of a chance of someone hating you right off the bat due to your lifestyle. For PK unless you're in a cabal you have to wait until a- they've attacked you or b- they've made threats on your life and chase you, where you know you must fight. Mudder
I think neutrals are more free in their reasons for PK than goods are. Why? Because Goods must also have a good reason to PK. They can never PK a goodie. They can not PK a neutral without a damn good reason. They can kill an evil but they are already given a reason. Neutral. They can kill anyone they want but it must be within RP. ALL kill are within RP. If you talk to anyone for any length of time I assure you in this game, they WILL give you a damn good reason to murder them and their entire family. EDIT: Sorry, to answer the original question. PK with RP at 30, and around 35+ everyone is fair game. If you need to learn PK, practice around 30. I never hunt anyone pre-30. It's just silly and teaches you nothing about the game or your character.
Croyvern
Pk at any level with any alignment if that character has a valid rp reason to wish its victim dead. That said, do not let your total kills exceed 50% of your total levels before the thirtieth rank. Unles your RP is seriel killer, suicide bomber, or the like I guess. Then kill them all, if your worried about the Imms getting mad, choose agnostic and make an attempt on their lives too. JK, roll with the play and have fun with your next. Sandbox
in regards to killing as a neutral. If you are planning to be a future watcher and you find out someone is planning to be a tribunal. Or plan to be a warmaster and find out someone plans to become savant... VERY valid reasons to kill, especially if they are in the respective clan. If someone disrespects you to the point that you feel its too much, such as: insults your god, your way of life, calls you derogatory names for an extended period. Keep in mind there is a merciful perk.. i had a neutral warrior who beat the crap out of about 30 people for running their mouth and picking on weaker characters that i knew. The vast majority of them i left them at 1 hp and lectured them, then left. with the perk you can mercy with any class, This is not the case. ~ Anume. this is my favorite neutral perk because you can get the point across that "hey, i can and will pwn ur arse if you keep it up by pounding them down to 1 hp." Sometimes its just funner to NOT kill someone.
