Deykari
I hate crossroads. I got a letter through the post from the company that I was going to be a holiday representative with saying that because I couldn't go when I last applied, I can have another interview with them in a couple months time for next summer. I'm all set for going in the army, but wanting to make a career out of it and not just for the minimum 4-year enlistment term, I'm sort of having second thoughts on the grounds that I think I may regret not doing this before I do go in the army because once I'm in, I'm not going to be able to do it. Any thoughts? I'm perfectly aware that I'm maybe pretty naive/ignorant to 'real life' considering ditching my career for a little while to work for 6-8 months abroad where my job will entail getting wasted, having sex and entertaining holidaymakers, but then... I'm 21 years old. I have a lot more to bring to the table of partying... Maybe I'm destined to flit from idea to idea but never actually end up doing anything? Dey
Pali
What, you can't just re-enlist next year?
Deykari
I could, but my job choice being 'specialist' will mean a lengthy wait time, and involve me going through the entire application process again, meaning I'm probably looking at a long time before getting in to what I want to do. Imoutgoodbye
Seeing as how I practically walked away from my CNA license because of mental issues, I don't really have much to say. But, uhm, seriously, Dey, you can party in the Army. Just not as much as you'd like. And after those first four years, well, thinks tend to loosen up a bit. I bet you'd get more cash for partying from the Army, too. Then again...if you're going abroad...and coming near Michigan....SCREW THE ARMY! Mudder
Dude don't be a vagina Dey. Do what your heart is telling you. And by heart I mean your, um, member. Screw the army. Go have fun. You can always join the army another time. As you said, you are young. You can be in the army when you are old and don't even like having sex with girls anymore. Because in the army it's all boys. Why the army anyway? Don't get shot.
f0xx
Tbh Dey, I don't think you'll enjoy it much in the army. Besides I don't wanna see Scholing go innactive, so yeah, screw the army.
Sirax
A good blow out before you join would be the perfect idea if you cannot hold of the Army I would say get a loan out and take a mini gap year, more like a gap month. Go to the holiday mecca you want to and enjoy. Then you can carry on with the army when you return. Or you could be a responsible man and give up the devil drink, the loose women, fags and donkeys and what ever the party deranged are doing these days . If you can think of a good excuse to put the Army off I would go live it up, otherwise I would settle for a quick holiday before and when next you get some leave. But Dey remember theres more things to life than drink and women and partying, I just havent found them yet

Deykari
**** this, I'm only gonna live once. Better make the most of my dwindling youth and a somewhat hedonistic mindset. I'd rather do this and enlist later, than just enlist missing out on something I'll regret not doing. No more army... yet. Dey
