Ilanthas
Hello all, As the title entails I have a question about camouflage. Can detect hidden or detect invisibility see someone while camouflaged? The reason I ask is that earlier today a dark knight hit me with a fireball while I was camouflaged. Ihad no pets with me either for him to target. I know I was camouflaged because when he cast the spell it said you step out from your camouflage and yell yada yada. Thanks, Ilanthas/Greg
Twinblades713
Fireball is a common tactic to get rangers out of camo. So he was proably fireballing around to find you, and that was probably not the first room he tried. The answer is no, only keen sight (for the most part) will show you camouflaged. Psycho Child
Fireball and other spells hit every player and mob in the room. Like twin said, he was probably wandering around guessing were you were and fireballing at random.
Ilanthas
So you can cast fireballs randomly in a room even if there are no mobs or players in the room? Thanks, Ilanthas/Greg
MadCowDisease
i dunno. but even if he cant see you, you're still there so it wouldnt matter if he failed every other room
Dale
Stand in a room with a really strong mob, he won't do it there, and if he does, shame on him.
Psycho Child
Yes you can randomly cast fireballs in an empty room. Try standing next to a mob like Imbessar.
f0xx
So you can cast fireballs randomly in a room even if there are no mobs or players in the room? Thanks, Ilanthas/Greg Fireball is an area spell. Area spells do not need to be directed at a certain character/mob since they affect everyone in the room. Other spells like that are Ice Storm, Ice ball, earthquake (although it can be avoided if you are flying), flashfire (can be avoided if you are already blind) and others. Psycho Child
There is also items that can cast these, so just because you are fighting a thief or a warrior or what have you, don't think you are safe. Camo is great, but its not a one command perfect safety thing. It's important to camo and then move away from the fight to an out of the way area, preferably next to a strong mob if available. Ilanthas
No worries. At least you did not full loot me. I would have put up a better fight but I was still trying to reequip from my last defeat. I had not got a chance to get any vials yet. This will teach me to make sure to get those vials as soon as possible after losing them. LOL Ilanthas/Greg

Just because you are flying or blinded already does not mean flash fire/earthquake won't bring you out of the shadows. It most DEFINITELY does. Just so no one is confused.
