Utter slaying fiesto

I've started a new character since my last character, Enarth - but all the weapon and spell training has put me off for the time being, so I'm going to catch up on my game slaying. There has been a few old games that I have missed out on and never got a chance to play and now I'm off mud for a bit I'm keen to get some slaying done, these are the games I've come up with so far.

Metal gear solid snake eater, and Metal gear solid the first one.

I recently finished god of war 1 and 2, so that's out of the way

Fable 1 clocked, nearly done fable 2.

Kingdom of hearts I heard was good, so I might jam that as well.

I NEED to finish FF10 as well, I got to the end boss but never beat him.

Banjoo Kazooie the first one, banjoo tooie, and maybe the new one on 360.

i really want to finish twilight princess as well

Doom 3 also.

that's all I can think of at the moment.

Does anyone have any suggestion under the category of -MUST PLAY GAMES- under the platform of ps2, xbox, or nintendo.

If you haven't (but most have) then play FF7 and FF8. Those two are my all-time favourite games, much better than 10 and 12 IMO. Wish my PS2 pad worked so I could play them again, when I hear the (amazing) music from both games I get washed with nostalgia.

Play 8. You will not be disappointed. I cannot decide which I prefer between 7 and 8. The storyline and game in general is just EPIC.

I don't like 10 as much, the storyline just didn't capture me in the same way, I didn't get same sense of involvement. The voice acting and hesitations inbetween were cringe-worthy too...

Not sure whether it's Castlevania: Symphony of Darkness or Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, but it's the one that came out on the N64 where you could play as a Belmont with a whip or the chick with the lightning/energy balls....the violin and soundtrack on that game just made me melt....

Please tell me that is not that underneath where it says Game Play, I kind of want to stay out of games that were released before 95

I'll second that, though I love, love, love XII. Balthier is the best character ever created.

I'd add the two KOTOR games to your list, too. One is better than the sequel, but both are wicked fun.

12 was absolutely ruined for me by the combat system. I got a little way into it, and just didn't click with it.

Bet I can guess why you like Balthier though... the voice. ;)

;)

Though, if you didn't get far into it, you missed the bit with the handkerchief. And the judge. And the ring. And a few dozen other brilliant lines.

Must plays:

action/rpg - Castlevania symphony of the night. You take control of Alucard, dracs boy and set off to destroy your father! Ps2, xbox arcarde

action/rpg - Legacy of Kain, soul reaver. A old ps1 classic about a man who gets ganged and killed, thrown to hell, escapes and becomes a undead vampire set forth to cleanse the land which is eviler then his race.

Rpg - Star Ocean 2, the second story. Greatest rpg ever IMHO. Ps2

platformer - Ape escape. Plenty of fun, ps2.

Tactics- Warhammer: Shadow of the horned rat. A tactical game, hire mercs and destroy the evil rat men! Never did beat this game though...always ran out of money near the end. Stupid dwarves and their dragon quests...mutter, and elves forcing you to fight ogres, trolls, and giants. PS1.

Rpg/tactics - Front Mission 4. Excellent game. Only 1 problem...ITS VERY LONG!!!! Whenever I try to replay this game I get tired near the end and quit. Ps2.

Others have mentioned metal gear solid 1, and KOTOR.

These are all unique, fun and different games of their time. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!

*PS one very uinque and very difficult game...its a rpg dungeon crawler.

Wizardry, Tales of the Forsakenlands. I could never beat it...gets too hard and tedious near the end. Stupid princesses and their obsessions with getting kidnapped in dark labriyths. Ps2.

Completely, 100% agree.

My personal opinion is with 8. 7 was amazing, just 8 for some reason captivated me MUCH more. I could feel tears welling up at certain points. I would get excited about things in game going on, and I love the junctioning system.

I actually hated ff8, I think it was one of the worst entries to the series (aside from 10-2). FF6 (3 in NA) and FF9 were gems though, great game play, and extremely compelling stories. Kefka was the best villain of all time!

Also, don't miss chrono trigger for the SNES (or the recent port to the NDS)... probably the most innovative RPG of its era (and it belongs to the best era of rpgs...) 20+ endings to an RPG? yes please! Sank more hours into that game than any other... and I raided on WoW :P

ff9 was horrible. It was basically an SNES game with flashy cgi. The combat was horrendous, the storyline was drab at best. I do love the old school black mages though, but it is not enough of a redeeming factor to save the game. Also I think it is absolutely RETARDED how you learn spells.

Hrm, I need to learn how to cast fire. I better wear this leather vest until I can remember how to cast it.

Brave fencer Mushashi, Love this game.

Final fantasy 4 is my favorite, well 7 is my all time favorite. I just can't decide....

Ninja Gaiden, beat it on master ninja and come see me.

Devil may cry 4 is fun, but best when you get bloody palace mode.

Dishwasher the dead samurai- Xbox live arcade.

Prototype- I just finished this, damn good game.

Xenogears/Saga 1-3 (though the saga games are not as good as gears)

Shadow Hearts 1-2 (never played 3, but I didn't hear as many good things about it)

Shadow Hearts is GOD!!!!!! SH3 was a little meh...but the first 2 were absolutely sick.

Legend of Dragoon

All the Monkey Island games

Resident Evil 2

Silent Hill 1 & 2

I've done Resident 2 and 3, I liked three a lot better, even though 2 was badass.

All the monkey island games? I assume your kidding.

Silent hill series I haven't started, that's actually a good idea.
