Imoutgoodbye
Whatever happened to not announcing your character until after it was condead or deleted? Is this some new way of trying to garner forum support/sympathy in game? I really think we need to implement the old rule of not naming characters on the forums unless they were gone, period. While it might work in advantage, it will also have the exact opposite affect and people will come to PK you for the same OOC reasons as others would help. I'm sorry if anyone takes this the wrong way and if I get a forum ban for this, so be it. It's incredibly disgusting and ruins the masquerade of enforced RP for me. Dale
I have never agreed with anything you said more. I actually think it is inducing the shelving.
Jedi_Donkey
Does not matter to me whether people name their characters during or after their character exists. If it causes them to die more, so be it. They know the chance they take in naming their characters. But I like to believe that if you have a truly well done character, naming them shouldn't matter. f0xx
I agree. Why do you post your character if you are considering coming back and playing him soon again? I really don't understand... *shrug*
alldaymuddin
Doesn't matter to me.. If I know your char or not, I am probably going to try to kill you anyway in most situations, I don't do the full looting thing to a person unless they have done so to me before. So it wouldn't ruin our friendship, and if killing you does, then....

Aulian
IMO you should NEVER be able to shelve a qclass... No offense hit and run, maso was a brilliant character but you held up that qclass spot for like 2 years, and a year of it you didnt play. Imo thats just 100% ridiculous. there were hundreds of times when I was like, **** I wish I could play my vampire, but imo shelving is bull****, if you aint going to play it, dont hog the spot. Twinblades713
There was a demon dk while masokant was shelved. He didn't "hog" the spot...
Guest emp_newb
I posted a prayer post about it, and it is very very rare for malch to give two demons to the same class. In essence it is normally an up **** creek situation. I agree 100% about hogging qspots.
Aulian
There was a demon dk while masokant was shelved. He didn't "hog" the spot... It was just an example. Nothing I have against Hit or anything. Qclass/races should never be shelved. They should be played until you're done then deleted/condead. Twinblades713
I actually agree. I think q stuff should be played or done. But I've noticed several instances where there have been more qstuff than said limits were. You can't technically 'hog' a spot, that I've ever experienced... that was all. Nothing towards Hit either. MadCowDisease
to the original topic: i like to think that we all know full well the risks involved, and if we chose to subjugate ourselves to the negative outcome, then so be it. In my personal experience, i put Grrumba's up because i RP with a few characters rather frequently. Grrumba also can't write, so i am restricted for sending notes. So a way to notify them is to post a shelving notice here. and yes qrace/class should never shelve.
Celerity
You can RP paying an NPC to send a note. I do it often.
