Pali
Help avatar pretty clearly states that you can't be in a cabal. Silly Myrek. ^_~
Raargant
No it doesn't. AVATAR AVATARS Avatars are creatures of the light, who fight the evil who engulf the lands. They are the most elite of those who fight for the Light. Avatars are messengers of Irumeru, and are avenging angels of sorts. They are created to battle Chaos with divinity, and are the chosen emissaries of the God of Purity himself. Granted with their path come several strong abilities and enhancements that grant them great strength over Demons, and other Darkwalkers. If you are truly divine in nature, and feel you exemplify the true virtues of the light, scribe a well written application to Immortals stating your history and which events shaped your life to motivate you. Brave souls of any rank are welcome to apply, so long as they believe their presence in the lands is worthy of this highest honor. See also: HELP AVATAR REQUIREMENTS <886hp 661m 493mv> 31701gold> 7> help avatar requirements AVATAR REQUIREMENTS Classes: All Races : All Level : 15-50 - MUST INCLUDE WORDS "avatar application" in application subject - Must be good aligned - Must be follower of the way of Purity and powers of Life You must send a scroll of application to Immortal, scribing of your history, goals, and any deeds you think may help your chances to be approved. The scroll must bear the title which includes words avatar and application or it will not be considered. If your scroll is approved you shall be made to know what else is required of you. mya
Its a pity the only good quest race is the harded to get. And Vampires and Demons are a lot more common than Avatars...
Mudder
Yes, though Avatar is also the most powerful. So it makes sense. Evil prevails through quantity. Good through quality.
Boy Kid Wonder
What I want to know is why saders and psi have to rank to 50 and get remort while demons, undead, and vampires get it at 30....
mya
Because they are Classes, Crussader Class Psi Class All other are Races. Avatar Demon Undead Vampire Undead =\= Vampire
Behrens
Because they are Classes, Crussader Class Psi Class All other are Races. Avatar Demon Undead Vampire Undead =\= Vampire Totally correct. To change your class (leaving out healer, druid, and shaman), you have to have mastered the previous class. To change your race, you merely need to have proved yourself to your God. (Yes, I have Avatared non-50s. Yes, it's rare.)

Pali
Exceptional RP, good to great PK, a good application, and Behrens to be in a good mood. ^_~
sixfeetunder
btw...i've always wondered why the helpfile on sader requirements explicitly states that they can't be an avatar since the religion requirements of each class are mutually exclusive. sader = one god avatar = purity
Pali
So there's no confusion, I'd bet.
Lexi
I think I remember in 1.0 there wasn't the different religion categories, simply gods you followed. Well, or at least something like that. I also believe it didn't mattered what God you were following to get Avatared, as long as you were good. But this was a long time ago and my memory isn't all that good. Mudder
At the same time, great RP can get you anywhere. And combined with great PK you can get anything. I'm sure a Church goodie could get avatared. (VERY rare i'm sure) but I think it could happen. They just want to clear things up to say, "don't even think about it" because wow that would be one awesome powerhouse combo.

You can't "great RP" impossibility. You can't both be a dedicated servant of the One God, and of another God.
mya
Unless the one god is the same god as the Purity... Same god, diferent manifestation... I knwo its insane, but makes sense for the ignorant servant. Might not for the god.
Designated_Driver
The whole point in belief of the One God, is that they are the one power that rules the universe. They are the big, divine, head honcho that controls everything. Believes in Irumeru and other gods of Light, while tolerated, are essentially considered heretics. It is, as Behrens said, impossible by definition to roleplay a Crusader Avatar. An Avatar believes in purity, and Irumeru being the driving force in the world. A Crusader believes in the mystic power of the One, and that it is the -One- and only true god in the uni(multi)verse. If they didn't both serve the same purpose, I could actually see Crusaders hunting down Avatars just like Watchers, for being the ultimate heathens. mya
I explain, you can belive the One is actualy Irumeru. This makes no sense for Irumeru, so no avatar for you. But from a ignorant servant point of view that never ever seen his god, it makes sense. He can belive that the one and Irumeru are actualy the same person. I personaly always go for the one god, or Agnostic. Unless i need the bless/special spells abilities for PK.
Pali
I actually really enjoy playing very devout characters, because it's a huge turn from the atheist I am in RL. Distances me from the characters more, makes me get into them more.
