Impossible to Hunt

no clue. I have spent 2 weeks bouncing off of monster pinns wanting to kill my level 42 char, while gaining FOUR levels. I can remember pinning, training, and getting decked in a weekend.

Never had and never will have this problem. All my last characters have gotten from level 42 to 50 mostly alone, either hunting alone or doing quests and I find the speed reasonable.

There are quests, you get 1k+ XP from a medium quest, which are quite easy and fast.

Playing defensively, you can still get to 50 without much of a problem even alone.

If things are so bad for you, find an IC way to either make some kind of truce with your foes (even if this means sacrificing some IC ego) or find someone to protect you.

I think a defensive-minded character with a good attitude and willingness to RP in a non-annoying way with pinns will find ranking surprisingly easy.

Complaining at every attack/interruption and logging off every five minutes (or when your opponents log on) might delay the trip considerably.

Then again, if you already have a pinn, especially a caballed one, you might want to focus on it.

On a slightly more realistic note I was scanning other muds recently (to see if they have any ways we could improve, not to be blaspemous traitor scum)

and one mud actually had a thing called "surges" Basically it is double exp, and it is on set days, at set times. like 4 a month, and it is set up to allow differing people around the globe access to them. I think maybe it is at least a decent idea.

Seriously, I'm doing just fine working may way through the 40's by myself.
