Imoutgoodbye
I don't have issues with the initial lag. I just don't think anyone else gets to charge, lag, flee, charge,...no lag here for everyone else, yes? EDIT: If I'm wrong about the second charge not causing lag for other classes, then I have no issue with minotaur lag.
f0xx
I would like to know how Imms feel about the Mino charge on warriors because I have always liked mino's and prefer them to the easy ogre and fires. I'm probably going to create another mino soon but was interested in if any changes were being devised at the time. I have to counter you here. In my opinion, minos are better warriors than ogres and much better than fire giants. And you seem to agree.
Guest emp_newb
why the hell would you be in ironarm? that would fall under "you werent prepared" Because you mentioned the disarming stance. Which would be Ironarm...... Wtf, how do you argue with someone who proves all your points? On a side note I have literally tried all stances, and possible weapon class combos. They all end the same. In straight melee it is a close fight, it is the fact i cannot enter commands while he is charging that is the problem.
jibber
Well.. I guess I can agree that minotaurs being countered should not dish out lag, but you guys claiming that flee, charge, flee, charge is the be all end all are simply misinformed. Talk with Niall, Lahnidas, Koortu, and others. They have all overcome it, and you can TOO! This message is brought to you by "Minotaurs CAN be beaten." f0xx
I will be honest. I really can't see how a charging mino can defeat a BLM. Even if you are not predicting the charge he should still be eating great damage from the counter. Not just that but I don't believe that he can completely laglock you via charge. You have acupuncture and can use curatives. And as another note there is still the option "crit eye"
jibber
Well.. considering there hasn't been any threads about minotaurs until just now, I have a hard time believing this is another one of those 'kurvikhel' moments, if you know what I mean. Guest emp_newb
Agreed. Minos have been getting ragged about since before kurvikhel, you where just not on the forums if memory serves.

Guest emp_newb
flavor of the quarter would be more realistic And I could care less about mino charge honestly. I can COMPLETELY see how getting charged by a minotaur should be bad. My only complaint ever about it was that the charge DID NOT go through, yet the lag did. Nekky
Minotaurs already have heaps of classes (zerks, clerics, healers, shamans, bards, all mages) who they can charge at will. I think it's silly that the classes who are fully equipped with skills to avoid charge are still succeptible. Every other opening skill similar to charge (cleave, ambush, backstab) can be countered by countering classes. It does seem silly that a minotaur charge can be countered, essentially meaning that the charge never connects with its intended victim, but that victim still feels the effect of the charge. MadCowDisease
my visual on this is that for other races, you are countering the weapon, not the person. perhaps to counter the horns, you are required a greater feat of accuracy, and thus take time to recover. Aulian
Dunno... But mino's dont really have a vuln do they? And they are giant sized... And they can charge with any weapon and do heaps of lag repeatedly? Sounds like a sweet deal
MadCowDisease
they have 2 playable classes, one of which has often questioned strength strength.
Aulian
they have 2 playable classes' date=' one of which has often questioned strength strength.[/quote'] ? What has that got to do with anything? For both those classes I would stick them in the top 3 AT LEAST if not the best.

L-A
1) Paladin charge - I don't like it lags four rounds (but its on a timer) and if you counter you cop the lag. Never did, never will. HOWEVER, this is not mino charge (more below). On my warrior the paladin was still never killing me with only flamestrike casts vs counter though. 2) Mino charge lags the mino 2 rounds and the target 2 rounds. Its ALWAYS been this way and we haven't been enduring lag locked charging people to death forever. This suggests that its perhaps not as bad as everyone is making out. Charge is an 'opening' command - useless in combat. Therefore if the mino is getting the first strike you're doing something wrong (and if that something is your connection is dial up then its not something the code should not be changed to accomodate). I fought paladins during 'charge death' times and after. Fought a lot of warriors who are happy to charge communers and mages to death as well. All simply get the same treatment - spam murder or some other skill/spell. In the case of mino's pick something that doesn't lag you so long you can't move before a flee;charge. It really is this simple. 3) You're a blademaster - twin counter and you're worried about some lag? Are you kidding? Got a log of your hp going down faster than his as he cops twin counters with no damage return? I'd like to see that because it doesn't seem possible. I do have some ideas about charge and mino charge but I'm not getting on this bandwagon because I don't believe that the current situation is 'broken' or 'overpowered' L-A
