Dizz
You can get equipment to help you raise your con. Most of us roll high numbers for our characters so the stats are maxed out by about rank 15. 50+ Depending on race/class Your con lowers as you lose lives. f0xx
I believe he is talking about a pinned character who has lost con due to deaths. If that is so, you can train con back to its original value at your cabal for a nice price.

HouselessRogue
Still think we need a system that allows non-cabaled characters to train their stats.
f0xx
Still think we need a system that allows non-cabaled characters to train their stats. Agreed on that. 500k gold seems like a reasonable price if you ask me.

Guest emp_newb
500k gold would only make raising one stat hard as hell for newbies who lose that con much faster. I think the price should be based on how many times you have trained it, that way when you are new at pinn, and getting rolled you have a buffer to fall back on. f0xx
Everything is harder for newbies Emp. PS. I don't really understand what you are suggesting btw.
KRins
I think he is saying like for the first time you raise a stat, maybe 100k, 2nd time 200k, 5th time 500k.
f0xx
Ah, that makes sense.
Guest emp_newb
well mostly newbies are losing con faster (see elwarick, no offense) so I mean put it on a curve, you train it once, cheaper, go back again, bit more. So on and so forth. So if we make it just 500k to get another conpoint, newbies usually have a hard time gathering that much cash ever, while most of us vets can get 5-700k per shift, and a shaman can literally farm gold. Grim_Reefer
Why don't we just tie pillows to everything while we're at it.
Imoutgoodbye
Why don't we just tie pillows to everything while we're at it. Because pillows = pillow fight. And it's all fun and games until someone loses an eye. Then it's a critical hit.
L-A
Fraught with danger - I know easy to get eq to put my stats up. If all I ahe to do is perserve until around rank 40ish (where I have easy access to some gold farming methods) then I would. Then 'gold up' all my stats and hold the trains. I don't think this would be a good thing.... That way to train it is just ANOTHER benefit of something. There is a heavy price to pay for that too. HouselessRogue
People already save trains that plan to try for a cabal. This wouldn't change anything it would merely give a little more incentive not to join a cabal.

mya
This is a very viable character selection. For example, i normally have 6 Stat points to max after character creation. If i do not use train untill pinacle and chose to keep the stat penalty, i can latter invest 6 trains in +60HP. This represents around 10% of the Base HP of a Mage/Cleric. You can for example go with minus 4 DEX than your max racial DEX, and use a +4 DEX belt. This would analog to using a belt of +40 HP. Another example. CLerics can easely make STR their dump stat with no problem due to the existing Giant Strenght Spell that will cover most of their penalty. +6 STR At Pinnacle, i think. Of course this opens a weakness to the Spell WEAKNESS, and to sudently droping your weapon in middle of combat, because your Giant Strenght just Droped. No wonder rage delete still happens - people are so focused on getting 'perfect rolls' and such that you can't enjoy the game... L-A
HouselessRogue
Giving non cabaled players a few perks wouldn't increase the power gaming. I would argue that it would do the exact opposite. You might see a few more Otoths running around if they could do something as simple as meta their CON back up as it decreases. As it is now there is no advantage for being uncabaled except for staying out of cabal warfare. Any cabal member that is T or above will have tremendous advantage over you. I would like to see something to balance this out. This is just one idea.
f0xx
Indeed, and being able to train your con back up, or being able to get an extra 20-30 HP from training sessions hoarding doesn't really bother me, and it should really bother anyone.
