What if INT helped with magic the same way STR does with attacks ?

Har har.

BASH!

Faerie hits the ground... DEAD!!

You grin evily.

NICE!!!

on a side note, W/C you are my Hero!

forget the sliths (see 'sliths' in Ideas/suggestions), casters piss me off.

Especially faerie zerkers. Damn' date=' they are powerhouses![/quote']

I've hunted with the one we have now, I think its awesome and he helped me alot in my hunting party.

Saemat(sp) YOU ROCK DUDE!

I assumed int in mages raises the chance that the spell will go through the victims saves. Correct me if I'm wrong though please.

You know, the more you try and disect the dynamics with math and what not the more the game looses a flavor as you see that is what it is... it looses the feel of the game. If you know all the numbers and stats and everything like that.

Like how it was said that when you are an imm all the smokes and curtains are gone and you see whats really going on. It's been stated that that makes the game less fun, so why try and take away everything that makes fl fl? (lets leave the math to the classroom... God knows I have no desire to even think about it on my time off )

But people seem to enjoy a relative advantage over their peers more than they do any flavor of the game. So, as long as the game is competitive, most people will strive to be better than their neighboor. That's the real fun for many of the players here. If you don't want to look through the code or whatnot, enjoy your relative disadvantage. Either way, both parties get their kicks.

at first i liked the idea. but now i don't. the game is nicely balanced in this area as was already stated.

i'd also hate to see a penalty to low int casters, because they have a hard enough time as it is.

This idea would entirely change the mud.

It would require every class and race to be rebalanced.

Maybe its a good idea, its not worth that work, though.

Try a faerie invoker.

Their spells are much more damaging than any other invoker race.

Didn't seem to be in my experience... fae's just have a slightly easier time mana charging due to the higher base mana they have. I could be wrong, but... my last invoker was a faerie, and he didn't feel much stronger than my other ones.

Maybe Behrens is on to something...

Perhaps I misspoke. I consider faeries to be possibly the strongest invoker race, but they're also one of the harder invoker races to play. Potentially incredibly strong? OH yeah. Easy to recognize that potential? Hell no.

hands-down the best. no question. not by far, but by enough. i think it's hard to recognize the full potential of ANY invoker. but that's only because i hate organizing hunting trips
