Nirn
I am having issued getting my cmud to let me know 5 seconds before the new tick. Can anyone please help me?
English lad
Tick times are variable so you can't get a pure tick timer - but someone posted a decent on awhile back that lets you know 15 seconds since the last tic
f0xx
Having in mind 1 tick is roughly 30 seconds...15 seconds is basicly silly. For a tick timer to be successful it has to be able to refresh itself every time the game ticks. Nothing can be 100% accurate but it's more than enough to know the time since the game last ticked. Celerity
A tick averages about eight combat rounds. If you can sleep on the seventh, you can usually catch it. Sixth if you need to be sure.
corpsestomp
I always had it at more like 10 rounds/tick. Maybe my brain is crazy.

Nirn
I asked because my Cmud gives a 5 second warning before each tick, I just need to figure out how to calibrate it.
English lad
CMUD gives a 5 second warning on muds with a standard tic length - there is no way for CMUD to do this for a MUD that doesn't have a standard tic length.
