Teralis
I have a question for those who uses hand to hand monks/clerics anyone else who so choses. Weapons have an average damage does fists as well have such?
The-Nameless
I cannot put an avg dam exactly. But in my experience they are comparable to all but the most elite of weaponry (soulblight, mourn/stormblade, hells fury etc etc) also monks get chakras which are more than balancing IMO, also Holy hands is not so amazing because of it's damage, but more for it's effects. Celerity
Well, we all know that our favorite fire giants get an almost unique bonus to h2h damage (not counting their high str--along with monks of course)
mya
Yes, they do. Hand to Hand has a ?d? system. Almost every damage thing in the game does. Even fixed damage can be written as "xd1". Power is as follow... Monks > Holy Hands > Naked Hand But you already knew that. What you did not know was that Level is the main factor of this average. This is why low level Hand to Hand is awful. Viri refered this briefly once, when explaining the classes that get their full power at 50. In this case monks. As with most weapons +% proficiency will increase your damage. A very minor effect on your offense and some solid impact on your defense. But the thing is, only monks can use them to parry/double parry. If you want, in the case of Hand to hand, you can boost it to 110% with 3 sockets. But IMHO you would be better off with +Hit/Dam. Hey Celerity, i match your fire Giant Hand to hand with my Ogre Hand to Hand combo. In my view Fire Giants can Theoretically be the Highest Damage output per Meele Attack with weapons. In practice, due to the limitation of "Fire weapons" average damage, Ogres are better
f0xx
I cannot put an avg dam exactly. But in my experience they are comparable to all but the most elite of weaponry (soulblight' date=' mourn/stormblade, hells fury etc etc)[/quote'] So, you are giving monk's h2h damage around 28-30 avg? That is quite a lot...
Zhokril
Monks' extra h2h damage doesn't come innately but from other things such as their martial arts skills, anatomy, etc.
Imoutgoodbye
Monks' extra h2h damage doesn't come innately but from other things such as their martial arts skills' date=' anatomy, etc.[/quote'] Those, sir, are bald faced lies! EDIT: Better put a smiley face in here lest someone thinks I'm doing something other than jerking ole Zhoky's time stream.
L-A
For all intents and purposes hand = exotic when comparing. Hence the higher damage with level. L-A
Celerity
Monks' extra h2h damage doesn't come innately but from other things such as their martial arts skills' date=' anatomy, etc.[/quote'] Reallllllly? In the code, there is a clear prof bonus to monk h2h (which would innately increase the base damage)...but then again, monks might not use h2h to calculate damage at all?
