Imoutgoodbye
Australia's government-sponsored ratings board has banned Left 4 Dead 2 for everything from excessive gore with melee weapons to the "realistic, frenetic, and unrelenting violence" of the game's infected. Wait until they see a dingo eat their baby. Straight out of my Game Informer. You Aussie's better hope they never find out about FL.
Nekky
It's because with relation to game ratings, all the attorneys-general of all the states and territories have to be unanimous. There is one backward hick in South Australia who thinks that while XXX-rated pornography including rape-fetish and 'violent sex' scenes are fine, a game where you shoot the heads off virtual zombies is going to be the ruin of our society. Seriously. The average age of gamers in this country is 28. We're not babies anymore who are going to go out and try to re-enact what we see in video games. There should be an 'R' rating for video games, just like there is for movies and television. I thought only the U.S blamed violence on video games, seems we're jumping on board now, too.
