Mali
Minotaurs have no vulns! Except they do suffer from mad cow disease... heh heh heh.
The-Nameless
Personally I LOVE fire giant zerks. You dual wield fire weapons, and use a goooooooooood hit/dam you can cause some absolutely unrelenting damage of death.

Sometimes I have a feeling you talk all this crap just so you can kill all the newbies with your mages ingame And wtf does a lag throw protective shield mean? Zerkers can't throw shields..." Yes, it has worked. Haymaker + Charge Lag is a great Zerk tactic. For all Zerks. Minotaurs get the bonus of lagging in each landed charge. Why this tactic works. Because: - Haymaker ignores saves. You eat a full Dispel. That's half of spells down. - Clerics/Mages have a huge load of spells to keep up. - Most of those spells cant be cast while in combat, or Lagged. Leading to opportunity to charge spam. Of course a experienced player will hit the eject button and Recall. But an more experienced player knows how to counter that. Of course even more experienced player will not fall for that. But an even more experienced player will know how to lay the trap so that he does not notices. It's all plans and counter plans. Skill aids, you start small and adapt. Then he adapts, then you adapt. And i mean, Minotaur Anger Haymaker can drop spells thorough a Clerics equipped Shield more often than an non Anger. To make better use of Charge spam. http://forum.theforsakenlands.org/showthread.php?t=13366 See the power of Haymaker. That Haymaker would probably not had landed, if the Zerk was not Anger. The landing average is really quite difrent.
Croyvern
It was a typo, I repaired it. But I stand by my advice. Since I tend to follow devestation, retribution would kill my characters, LA says walk five steps, but with the blood rage its a bit hard to walk away. then it comes down to can I land that haymaker or deal enough damage to get my opponent to flee. If he is a dwarf healer, his HP with heal are nearly inexaustible, if he is a halfling, hes going to be very hard to hit. LA Is clearly the better at PK so I will also advise you to listen to his advice. I only offer a different perspective.
mya
You ain't gonna land that Haymaker with devastation. Just dirt and pop damage. "And of course, if played properly, a WM Inductee Berz can Whomp on anyone." Zerks are fodder. At least to me. Can't recall ever fighting a Zerk i could not handle. Yes, they can be dangerous if you do not pay attention. Suddenly you might find you at your pit. But you will get there with that "dam, that was stupid" felling. Not the "$%"% overpowered $"$"%"% combo". Perhaps we have yet to see the Ultimate Zerk Player. Someone who will show us how to really play a Zerk. mya
In fact fighting Zerks is pretty fun. I rarely get mad at a Zerk, even when i die. It's normally "Lol i died. Doh!!!" Or when i die playing a Zerk, which reminds me, that I think I never won a PK as a Zerk. Stupid melee classes and their backwards tactics. This reminds me of the time of Shandor, and hunting with Storm Zerks. We would be Hunting with a Zerk in group, then Shift comes in (bunch of newbs) and suddenly we have a Raged Zerker striking at us and the gods laughing. (A raged zerk will keep raged after a world shift, and will attack the people in the room, with the bonus that he cannot flee.)
L-A
We can turn this into another 'zerk power debate' if you wish - however, its not going to help on character selection. I still say go for a dwarf. You don't give a lot up (weapon selection the main thing) and gain a lot of useful things. Vs Savants that magic resistance (as opposed to magic vulnerability of an ogre) will probaby come in really handy. Oh yeah - its Movember now too, so you should roll a dwarf just for the fact that dwarves are pro-facial hair. L-A
samag08
Besides a few low points vs other giant sized melees, zerks are fine with me.
Nekky
Fine with me, too. You just have to really think about your weapon selection against certain classes. But if you've picked your weapons intelligently, and you don't just think "Rage/Slam" will win your fights, you will do well.

Dead Voodoo Doll
Anyone has an idea of what weapon to chose as a Zerker vs a Crussader ? better have a shield w/ a spear(def) or flail(off) since you can't use whips.
The-Nameless
Anyone has an idea of what weapon to chose as a Zerker vs a Crussader ? zerk sader is gonna be a horrible fight for the berserker. Saders are inarguably the masters of melee combat. I have seen several logs of crusaders wading through full necro armies and eating only acid blasts. As far as weapon select goes, I would be going polearm for the defense, assuming it is a giant so you get the added bonus to two handed as well. SB > WB And your first statement relies on a Crusader with massive AC. Its extremely easy to outmelee one that hasn't had the chance to modify.
