Bert Posted November 13, 2009 Report Share Posted November 13, 2009 Dang, I'm so frustrated... 3200 xp to finally make 50 after being chased all over the freaking place, being attacked by everyone and their mother. Dr Stam at pretty hurt, yeah, 3K guild quest and his xp and I'm finally there... Then, in an unfortunate turn of events, a bunch of bad stuff happens while I was blind, not sure if I was attacked by a player or what, but blam, mob death. Incredible. I've had so much bad luck over the course of this character. Fought off the urge to delete though. So I guess that's good. I knew this wasn't going to be an easy character to play. I'm just having such a rough time getting to 50. It's been 0-50 almost entirely solo and I've never attacked anyone trying to keep a low profile. I don't like pre 50 pk anyhow. But for some reason, everyone is after me. Must just be the class I am. Just blowing off steam. I'll take a small break and come back and give this last rank another try. I have noticed your struggle, and have deliberately avoided interaction with you at least, to give you a break. Also, I have a special feel toward your class And I know that many have another type of feeling, where all they want is to kill you, heh. Hope you reach 50 soon. I think I may have picked full cabals at first, which I can understand. I want to see what they are like and be a part of one. So if I'm asked/told something by a cabal member with high standing then I feel like I have no real choice barring RL issues. I don't want to screw my chances of getting in just because I was afraid to do something that could result in xp loss. It's a new day. I've slept and feel better. Once you are at 50 you should get to know your cabal mates, but do be their slave. Most cabal players will vote yes, unless they hate the person. So you do not need to do favors. True and False I will never get into the cabal because those in the cabal do not like me. False I will never get into the cabal because I basicly have no rp. More true than anyone realizes or admits. I will never get into the cabal because I can not reach level 50. False. You are trying hard, you are not giving up, this proves both tenacity and heart. Unlike alot of cabals, myself and Kaylia try to have a little more say then most cabals especially since our cabal imm is MIA. Don't let these people shoot you down. Your character did what they felt they should have done, IC. Do what you feel your character should do in the position you are in. Don't let an OOC forum tell your character what to do. Implementor Anume Posted November 15, 2009 Implementor Report Share Posted November 15, 2009 If you are not good at pk yet and have not been in a cabal yet either, Syndi is not the easy choice. Syndi skills are more of a passive pk help than other cabal skills. Best way to learn to pk is still to aim for WM and fight challenges and duels till you are condead in my opinion. The char after go Syndi and fight EVERYONE with a bounty. Did that, got myself kicked a lot, learned a lot. No matter if cabal or not, log your fights. Analyze them. What should / could you have done better? Where was an opportunity you did not take? Then if you are playing an eq dependent class, getting eq fast is also a thing you should learn. I still don't know the area changes or even basic directions through some areas, and it shows. At the same time, I cant really be arsed learning.
