Flamur
In the mud, if you say something it highlights in yellow. If i emote say something, it all stays the same color. I've seen it done where people can make a tell with something before it like "grudgingly he says, 'okay.'" and the "okay" is yellow. How do I do that? English lad
I use the one warpnow posted - with a few alterations to give me multiple say options, and a couple of ones based around smotes. http://forum.theforsakenlands.org/showthread.php?t=969&highlight=emote
Deykari
Instead of having a pre-defined 'emote say' script as per that thread posted in the post before mine, you could toy around with just writing your emotes/pmotes/smotes to fit the situation you're in instead. Instead of having your character always saying things in "a husky voice whilst flinging their arms out for emphasis" you could just use the emote/smote/pmote commands to make your emoting fit the scene each and every time - doesn't take much more time once you get used to the system. If I just want to even 'say' something, 9/10 I even write 'emote says "blah blah" ' instead of just typing 'say blah blah' out of habit. Anyway, in answer to your original question - use speech marks. The text within will show yellow as if it has been said. Here's some examples. emote looks at the fountain and says "Did someone pee in there?" smote "Pass me another beer please." Deykari slurred, completely unaware of the fact that he is naked in a pharmacy. pmote says to f0xx, "What is your obsession with mya?" Dey
corpsestomp
If you want it yellow you'd have to use: emote says, "Hello there." NOT emote says, 'Hello there.'
Croyvern
If you want it yellow you'd have to use: emote says, "Hello there." NOT emote says, 'Hello there.' Just Quote it and and it becomes yellow. But all the above is helpful knowledge.
