Polk
I was just scanning through the number of types of clerics, and from what I know of storm clerics, they don't seem to be mana sufficient, I used to run out of mana on a constant basis. Dwarfs, from recently playing one, they don't seem to have that problem, nor the health problem, though I was looking for a cleric with sheer hit/dam. Is it possible to focus completely on that and make a good cleric, I mean considering hes a giant, enhanced d, two handed, and a bit more str doesn't hurt. though the lower hps comes with a price it seems when you fight warriors. Can never land enough hits on them, and they pound on you, even on the water. any tips?
mya
You cant espect to win a warrior without atriction, unless they are naked. Get vulnerability weapons, most people go for power combos and have a vulnerability you can exploit with a exotic weapon. I personaly prefer a mace x10 vs warriors because of the defence. Dont forget AC spells like stone skin and Steel wall. Try to curse, feary fog them first encounter and see the damage they deal to you. Run heal and then have them run after you. Calm them, people over look calm, and start dealing Rays. I personaly dont fight on water, its to confining to fight on it and flee heal. Try to fight in the city and then fake it to have them rushing after you and go to the river. Low dex races might have a problem with escaping dirt so impose a rule. -Dont fight blinded. If blinded, cast one 1 round spell and flee so you dont get a disarm... So many stuff you can also do with scrolls. PS: Use a shield, even as a Storm giant you are going to get in trouble if blind. Polk
Ack, I always forget about scrolls, yet I know of some great ones, just most of the time, I am to nervous to use them, take all that time to aquire them and then FAILURE! Most of the time I've used them though they don't fail, so they are clearly acceptable in that case. Only other benefit I could think of just off the top of my head, is wands, but I have never found a wand worthy of me taking the time to get it, never even bother practicing it anymore. Psycho Child
Also don't be afraid to use vials/staves/potions for spells that you could normaly cast, will save on mana.
