mya
Someone explain to me again, what does a Dwarven Warrior has going for him ? Dwarvers are pretty buff in LotR and D&D, but i cannot recall what is their angle in FL, other than the obvious Magic resistance. There used to be quite some Dwarven warriors in the past. There must have been a reason for it.
killalou
Maybe....Good Hp, decent str, can dig, human size, decent int/wis for learning, magic resistance. I think they make solid warriors and have a easier time against magikers then the other races.
Evangelion
When I played a dwarf warrior, it was during the advent of the Tribunal, and there were some strong folks around at the time. I didn't do as well as I would have liked at points, but I did decently. However, I think knowing what I do now that dwarf warriors could experience plenty of success. It's just a matter of finding the right equipment for the job.
Cephirus
Their hardiness (read hp, con's modifier to saves, magic resistance) all total up for an excellent medium sized warrior. Trip does not affect them as much, and although they have a vulnerability, being a warrior you can more easily deal with it and overcome it. They have excellent stats and I think overall, make a strong case for being one of the best races for a warrior.
L-A
Completely underrated IMHO. The bane of clerics and mages everywhere (I shudder to think about what a dwarven glad zerk would do to a cleric...) - you can't kill what you can't hurt. I've spoken to a number of players about their experience with dwarf/duergar vs giant sized melee's. Lag is a pain but I think its possible to stand up to the plate. Will definately be in a class of their own if we get a decent shaman intent on hurting the pbase again. L-A
f0xx
Mya strikes again Just because there isn't a powerful dwarf warrior, or just because there hasn't been one recently, means next to nothing my sweetheart.

Implementor Anume Posted December 24, 2009 Implementor Report Share Posted December 24, 2009 Dwarf warrior is a very viable choice. There have been several successful dwarf warriors in the past, both in WM and Tribunal / Justice.
Pieman
Dwarf warriors are a great all around choice. The reason why they have been under utilized recently can be summed up in one word. Blademaster. Blademaster is just an all around easier class to gear and to play compared to warrior. At their peak with equivalent gear they have nearly the same potency, perhaps with a warrior even a little greater depending on lore choices. The fact is that with little gear or while re-equipping blademaster is just leagues ahead of warrior in ease and against giant melee classes blademaster takes the cake.
