Thats just a treat if they attack your pet, lead in with a dirt and he'll be stuck targeting your pet or fleeing. I don't think he's worried about his pets getting attacked though.
Where <insert ranger pet here>
they dont have to attack the pet.....
There are downsides to having pets, dude...that is one of them. Rangers are only partial rogues...because they can't do much when hiding. That is intentional. If someone follows you and KNOWS what area you're in...they can find you, unless you are willing to sacrifice your pets.
hello? this is how the game works, you can where players and you can where mobs, only time where fails is if what you are trying to where is not visible by you. hence the tracker path for rangers. I seriously doubt this will change so you should probably find ways to deal with it rather than arguing its unfair. Andnow that you brought it up I bet there are some people smacking themselves thinking "damn, i shoulda whered leopard when i ran through the forest!"
anyway, this isnt a flame, nothing personal, I just think you have no case here whatsoever.
I, personally, think making this change would make rangers far, far too survivable.
I also think Ogres shouldn't be rangers. ^.^ But then again, I don't have a valid argument, and your argument, deflythelfy, has been un-validated.
Is that a word?

Invalidated.
At least Raarg can spell...
But he doesn't know how to show his work.
Heheh...yeah...work...
Even if oyu feel like that is bad, just camo yourself and prepare to "order attack " Then that locks them in battle momentarily (as long as you have autoassist off) you can either join in with the pet which buys you time or you can actually assist by then attacking (which i believe has been said before)
You can also then order your pet to flee, blind the enemy and run again gaining life while they run around aimlessly
I don't think you can order your pets to flee.
or order them to attack REAL players as far as I know...
Nope, can't do either. One thing that has been overlooked is that you cannot where a sneaking class. Try whereing one of the guildmasters in Shasarazade sometime.
Now apply that to your pets. Other possibilities are to recall and let them wail on your pets while you com running back camoed. There are possibilities, but in reality, the Tracker path has perks for a reason, as does the archer path, and the beastmaster path. You need to learn to work with what you have, not come here and ask the world to bend to your wishes.
But, what do I know?
uh.....maybe can't where sneaking NPC's.......but you most certainly can where PC's.
If not everyone would play fae/elf/drow. ![]()
Um... Iyorvin, PC, you're incorrect. Situation: Bob is an elf. You are in town, Bob's in town. You type "where Bob". You'll get nothing. You type "where", you'll see where he is. You just can't specify it. Also, only works on races that get autosneak, not, say, a sneaking halfling/avian.
Not in over six years have I ever noticed that. I aways use "where pk".

No offence, but I wasnt asking the world to "bend to my wishes" I was just offering up an idea, I mean **** it, guess this forum second is for *****ing at each other and making them feel like a retard for now know everything about the game. I'll be sure to return the favor when you have an idea.
Yeah, I've noticed. Go to Xymerria and where any mob in the area. You'll get nothing.
