Ali_gmud
I've always respected Pali's opinions on many matters - but this one I just cannot bring myself to agree on. Ocarina is one of my all time favorites and for someone to just come along then say it's not a RPG isn't what I'd like to hear. It's a top 5 list - not a debate. I'm still a big Pali fan. Pali
Oh, Ocarina's one of my all time favorite games too... I just don't consider it an RPG, given its lack of, you know, role playing. Yes, you're playing Link's role in the story - you're also playing Gordon Freeman's role in the story of Half-life, but that doesn't make it an RPG. As I said above... there are a fair number of games that are called RPGs that I do not consider to actually BE RPGs, and Ocarina's one of them. Mindflayer
My top three favorite RPGs 1. Aabahran, the Forsaken Lands 2. Final Fantasy (the original one for NES released in the US-yes I'm old school baby) 3. Dragon Warrior was the ****
Croyvern
1. Might and Magic IV 2. The Bard's Tales 3. Final Fantasy I 4. The original Dragon Quest Circa 1985 (COM 64) 5. Oblivion All of these rank lower than any CF, AR, or FL.
Celerity
Top choice: Xenosaga 1-3!!! Others in no order: MUDs, Final Fantasy 1,2,4,6, Knights of the Old Republic, and while technically not RPGs, I play them as grand scale ones: Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Europa Universalis 3 Honorable mention: Quake 2: Weapons Factory mod

Ali_gmud
For all you Zelda fans... have you EVEN played Windwalker on the cube? or were you just not a big fan of it? I'm totally surprised it got no mention.
Deykari
The only Zelda game I didn't complete. The game itself I enjoyed, but that ****ing boat annoyed the **** out of me. Having to spend 302 real life hours travelling from A to B, only to spend 2 minutes in B and spend another 234234 real life days travelling from B to C.. only to get near to C and some frigging big monster spits you out somewhere else in the ocean. Ali_gmud
Much like the other Zelda games, you get certain songs that transport you from A to B 20x quicker. You don't remember that mini cyclone that used to pick you up and drop you right by where you needed to be? That game (out of all the zelda games I've played) had the second best ending ever. Imoutgoodbye
1. I hated the cartoon shading. Couldn't stand the way it looked. Way too childish. 2. I also hated Majora's Mask. Timers do NOT sit well with me (except in FL). 3. And I definitely disliked Twilight Princess. I didn't even attempt to finish it. No challenge. Felt like they were trying to recapture Ocarina, but some idiot with a sick fetish got his hands on it.

Felt like they were trying to recapture Ocarina' date=' but some idiot with a sick fetish got his hands on it.[/quote'] I enjoyed the twilight princess game partly because of the graphics and the fighting with the Wii thumb chuck. But I didn't like how they redesigned Hyrule differently to how it was set up in Ocarina. I even found the story to be somewhat confusing at times as well. But huge thumbs up for Majoras mask. I know it's something very small and stupid, but I liked walking down a certain road in the city and looking at the clock on day 2 and saying, ok in about 15mins game time Mr XXX would be walking by this very road and bumping into Mrs XXX in exactly this spot. To each his own I suppose. ^^^ huge zelda fan, is resident evil a RPG?
