Rare areas like Factions/Desolation/Dischord/Gear will be getting harder to complete. They were never intended to be solo-ed in the first place, I don't think.

Over the years people developed a number of methods to complete these areas without actually having to fight the mobs in the way (which is the point). This leads to people soloing very easily in some cases. If you want to solo one of these areas, it should (and will) take a pretty long time.

In a long away past, with your Storm Cleric. Now things are not that easy.

Also:

+ SpellLevel Items are not uber. They are a very balanced mechanics.

There is a CAP, that everyone speculates the exact value.

In my opinion is +3 above your Casting level at 50.

Anyways +2+4 the point is that's quite difficult to even get +2, and that this bonus can be countered with saves from a single piece of eq.

Hit/Dam roll, on contraire do not have a CAP, just diminishing returns, allowing you to totally deck in one of them.

This is what makes EQ melees so dangerous. Mages have a power plateau, melees have a step mountain.

Lol, I'm surprised anyone remembers my storm cleric. I was talking about my more recentish dwarf clerics though. The two back to back elders of Tribunal. Because, yeah, a lot has changed since Saulroc and the days of Justice. But not much since Brendyn and Byrsypherus.
