I know whoever is doing this thinks its a neat trick to hoard gear in your alts and log in every so often to keep them out of circulation but its just an exploit and it doesn't make you better at pk or rp. This exploit just forces you to rely on those items not being there. It's hindering your progress, and hurting the balance of the game.

Is there any way to manually control these kinds of exploits? Or at least re-circulate the items without players having to log back in?

Uh, I hate to burst your bubble, I have a hard time believing that this is the result of malicious intent. I would be very surprised to learn that players are intentionally hoarding gear and not logging onto characters for the sole purpose of preventing other players from gaining that gear.

People in this community do a lot of silly things, sometimes less classy than others, but like I said, I very seriously doubt that this particular instance is in occurrence, at least with any frequency. Frankly, there are only a few scenarios in which I can think of ways that this would even be beneficial. Moreso, I think it is a combination of defunct code keeping things locked in the bounty system, and people simply having more characters than they can play on a regular basis.

Its what, four or five days from the end of the month? Of course rare numbers are a bit down. Purges are monthly (as you all know) so when that happens those without hours lose their shines.

Keeping rares on your alts attempting to keep them out of circulation is ineffective - one of the regular maintenance tasks that is carried out (by the Imms) takes these items from any character who try this - so don't you worry about that

Don't the rares return in criculation when the player logs the charecter and sees the message?

I recently lgged in Ahrem and deleted so there are a good few rares/uniques back in circulation that he had. I also have one other pinn that is moderately decked but I have honestly not had a ton of time to play this month, but I am quite sure I still have more than the minimum amount required to be purged. Hopefully throughout the next week or two I will be able to be a touch more active with him.

thanks. I try to keep 1 pin at a time for this reason. It's hard to commit to multiple pins especially when cabals are involved. I personally thing having 2 pinn's is kind of a conflict of interested because you shouldn't be able to play for 2 teams. (good/evil) (or cabal1/cabal2)
