Not sure as I didn't really know a lot about muds back then. And I hated Trig.......but I did toast a ton of his eq. My Favorite? Calandra. No matter how many ninja I tried, I just couldn't get anywhere close to moving like she did. I gave up about the time of the shades. Dunlith just smeared me all over the place. edit: Note to Imms. Elfrosto
My characters were my own heros, lol, but if I HAD to pick someone I didn't play.... Crypty and Dymmeria were pretty big hits for me...But I can add Lunicant to the list, and I always have to give props to Damia.
Imoutgoodbye
edit: Note to Imms. Anyways, my heros....*boggles* I can't get Vylan out of my head....*glares at Fem-Nec* However, Eitreich was DEFINITELY my hero for trying to stop my first high-level rage delete AND saving me from the constant whoopin' Vylan was puttin' on me. Teralis
Never EVER give an ogre warrior access to detect hidden again........ I know which made what I took (Blades) a bad choice, if I had known he took det hide I would have taken Camoflage or something else with Malosos. He was a monster. Bah taught her everything I knew about undead thieves and still get no credit lol. Mine would have to be (I cannot remember the name) but it started with an A in 1.0 was a undead ninja in conclave, she was awsome never knew she was around but kept seeing people dropping off pk list left and right dying. Thank god I was playing a ranger warmaster, she never got me. Calandra was boss as well. Maybe her name was Ayami I think too long ago.

H&R
When I ranked up my first char, a pansy elf paladin, I thought Narnokles, Xequilant and Ithamar were so badass.
Croyvern
Ofcourse it was a different engine..... But Coven taught me a lot about PK, I would choose Burzuk if asked which Imm was the most influential, for he taught me how to build my Role Play based on the occurances in game instead of relying on a predetermined mindset, in return I taught him what a power verb does to a simple sentence. Mali
Mircea for his outstanding cabal induction roleplay. Sirant, for Orealt. Old man for consistently evil characters that you learn to fear without them having to kill you.
Celerity
My Favorite? Calandra. No matter how many ninja I tried, I just couldn't get anywhere close to moving like she did. I gave up about the time of the shades. Dunlith just smeared me all over the place. That's because Calandra could hide (and a special hide that couldn't be seen by detect hidden) anywhere in the game---not exactly very hard to play a ninja then. Since everyone is naming 1.0's, Rhovhard was the scariest character I fought during that era...but I don't think that char would be anything if played today...the skill in the game has increased so much since then. So, I look up to recent characters more than the old, old ones. Kurvikhel, Rigantes, Philantees, and Ulystryxx have all inspired me to play the game more and more. Martineius actually got me to write a couple of poems---I really wish he hadn't deleted before I got back! Sachi and Martineius would have been such an interesting couple! Basically I fear any aggressive pker who can easily beat my combo---but idolize? I don't know...I guess that would fall more to people who make something out of their characters OUTSIDE of the random pking. Kendriks was a great example of that. Being long-lived is probably the most important part though.

Lord Antisonic
My druid in 1.0 looked up to Verdigar and spoke with him a few times. And I think it was Celerity playing a thief (possibly ninja)- who helped me out the most in 2.0 with tips and hints and generally being helpful I think anyone who helped me out back in 1.0 and 2.0 were my heroes, even abacian's thieves taught me how to run, fly and stay out of town... Fem Nec, also was a hero back there for a bit, Loved the chars and always helpful... SHrug, I got confused. P.s. never log, and horrible with names...So I can't name char names from dat long back
tassinvegeta
For me it was Fizen, Ithamar, Loucheran, my favorite idol of all would be Rompkei the ferocious war-kahn. MadHieronimo
Rae, the crazy little Chaos halfling warrior Didn't interact with him but I always thought he was the shizzle nizzle. Also, probably Vaernim for actual interaction in game. And Onileon, wish I could play a necro like him, except I wouldn't want a cheap squid I also used to love reading old Zenizen and Harishin logs, so they inspired me a bit too. I remember watching you toast some (Whatever Fire Giant Justice) there in the middle of town. I feel very special now. I played briefly in 1.0 but not long enough to remember much so I can't name anything from then. Triathix, Atsula and Drayson were a terrible combo to learn against but I would also give them massive props for my development as a player.
