Started losing touch with the character, not a lot of rp opportunities out there for me with this character seems everyone just wants to fight and thats it. May be something on my part or on theirs, not really sure but I'm losing the feeling i had towards this character and my rp is suffering for it alot. I left nexus although it pained me to do so. any rares on her are back in circulation. I'll roll something else up and hopefully i won't forget why I fell in love with the next one.

Rule #1 of Cabal PK: If you're vendetta'd, the most RP you might get is:

a) So, we're at war, I guess? *attack*

B) The quips between healing/resting/before/after.

Honestly, man, I'm envious. I couldn't believe I was seeing a slith ranger runnin' around. I'm sure it took you great RP to get it. But you're not going to get any leniency, especially from Purity followers, even if you left Nexus.

Back in late 2.0 I left Syndicate for similar reasons. Where did it lead? Not only were my enemies slobbering because I was even easier pickings (no cabal powers), but I had my former cabal mates kicking my can for leaving and making sure there was nothing in my corpse.

I wish you the best and hope you take Gladea off the shelf. Ride it out with your head held high, man. Do it your way and don't listen to what anyone else has to say. And when the damn wheels finally fall off, well, they fall off and you gotta build yourself another deuce.

Blessed be.

If you dont want to fight people, dont join the most combative and notoroiously nasty cabal in the game. Picking the most aggresive and combative sub-cabal

also politicaly Nexus has a ton of enemies, its like juming into a blender

good luck with your next one, try one of the more neutral cabals.

I have no regrets :D I learned quite a bit, probably would have done alot better with an ogre, lol. But it was nice to have something unique.

That being said, I know i was not very loved. Hopefully i can work on honing my evilness in such a way that people enjoy fighting me.

Pokes his dark face from his cave, shelved? Bah! A couple of interactions with this one, and neither did Gladea seem the type to give up. Sandbox, get in the zone man, if they don't want to role play your way, beat them down to their knees and make them listen. Gladea deserves nothing less than your full and complete effort. After all your playiing and thereby occupying a race/clas that I am sure others would have loved to have tried. I know your capable, obviously the Imms saw potential in Gladea, do not deny her the chance to take over the world.

Yeah you have gotten what few others could. Yes you joined a bad cabal if your sole purpose was rp. But that doesn't mean you should give up. Focus a bit more on pk to defend yourself to the point where pk is no longer a chore. You'll find it works wonders when enhancing the environment of rp. I remember having great interactions when I was in WM against Enellisiell and Scorvale. Which probably wouldn't have happened if we weren't trying to beat each others head in to prove each other wrong.

It seems to you that pk matters too much. I suppose as an extension of what Tassin said, don't let pk be the most important thing to you. I have heard you quip about how you RP all the time, and I believe you and that's great. However, in addition I find it more easy to play if I don't expect much out of myself in the pk department.

Expect the worst, hope for the best. That way you don't get disappointed.

When I played Wuuipo and usually fought against Nyra who was an insanely difficult opponent, I'd run in expecting to die. Not running in hopelessly or stupidly or unprepared, but wholly believing I wouldn't make it out alive. Often that came true and I'd just buck up and push on. But I'd always have the sliver of hope for landing the pk.

We probably won't be the best unless tassin, H&R, Mindflayer, Jibber, and Nameless all die in a plane crash.

I find it very amusing how everyone claims RP is more important than PK, and how at the same time goods would almost jump on each other after visiting strong mobs who happen to hold their items.

It is very easy to give RP when you are the strong one, but I have had interactions with all the names mentioned in the previous post (Helsieve's) and believe me, they ain't very talkative when they are on the recieving end. Very few are, and those who usually do very well in PK, ain't good at it.

That is why one's RP should be judged only when his character is not doing very well in the PK department.

[edit] And to take Ali's example literally, why did Zaulael stop playing when Kurvi kept beating him? No offense to jibber, but NOONE can keep his RP up when he is being constantly beaten (especially if the RP is centered around PK prowess), unless that character is made ONLY for RP purposes i.e. Irpel.

This is such a blanket statement it is not really fair. I have seen chars who kept to their RP 100% in the midst of losing. I remember as my shammy I fought a half elf blm named Tarim. He was 100% in char and realistic while fighting, in loss as well. What he never did was break char to be frustrated. You will find the people who forget their RP when they are losing are the same chars that rage delete after EQ loss.
