The-Nameless
She is taking a college level chemistry course, and could not do a simple double displacement? One which the chemical formula of the reactants have already been balanced? I highly doubt it. Perhaps she was looking for a reason to talk to you, and fabricated this problem as the means to break the proverbial ice? Doubtful, as she was asking other people for help, and had no idea that I knew **** about chem at all. My buddy Steve pointed her to me. I do appreciate that the demon lord feels hot large breasted women need a reason to break ice with me though

mya
Pb (NO3) 2 (AQ) + (NH4) 2 S (AQ) ? Pb(NO3)2 [aq] + (NH4)2S [aq] => 2NH4NO3 [aq] + PbS http://books.google.com/books?id=a9emw3FvCrAC&pg=PT156&lpg=PT156&dq=Pb%28NO3%292+[aq]+%2B+%28NH4%292S+[aq]+%3D%3E+2NH4NO3+[aq]+%2B+PbS+&source=bl&ots=fIYf3cmi52&sig=m5hllQFcBqNz-7VPuMkJqAFMwJI&hl=en&ei=-1SGS8eEH8-w4QbE1f2hDw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=2&ved=0CAgQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q=&f=false Check this book. If Mindflayers equation is the answer, then this must be very basic Chemistry. Normally my precipitation problems involved the calculation of concentrations, not doing this sort of thing that requires to you to memorise the outcome of a reaction. I normally consult a book/reference for that. But then again I did not see the question. Good luck Nameless.
