Giants and practices?

What to do when I can only get to 65% with two practices on a FG? Am I supposed to just train from there or waste 3 pracs on getting to 75%? The latter sounds like a terrible solution, but what do I know?

On the Storm giant, is it worth putting the points in the int to get the 75% with two or are they better spent on str/dex for a melee type of player?

I'm confused.

First question: I'm lazy, I put the practices in. I know players who would only use ONE of those practices and train the rest.

Second question: You will get the trains eventually through leveling to get your STR/DEX up. Put it into int to get the practice bonus. Getting the int later won't restore the lost practices from not getting to train well due to crappy int.

It all depends on the person. I know people who train from 1 practice, even on giants. I've tried that as well and I did train everything to 100, in the end though, I was so bored so I dumped the character.

Do you know that Mindflatayers Kurvikhel had the adventurer perk? H&R's Anister is also using that perk. If you don't have much free time or are not willing to put 100 hours just to train your character, then I would advice you to use all three practices. The benefits ain't that big anyway...

It wasn't much of a discussion. It was just you asking others to bio Kurvikhel ;)

I won't argue, Kurvikhel's perk was adventurer though, not my problem you don't remember it :P

PS. If you read the thread and where it was going, you will see I was hinting towards faster ranking (spending less time pre 50) and so I asked him to look at your bio, since you were adventurer, just to make a point that a character can be strong without training from 1 prac or getting some of the other much more useful perks than your smelly adventurer :)

To each, a path he will follow.

Here is my rule.

Is it Auto?

If the syntax is Automatic for the skill, i.e. Shield block, sword, enhanced damage, vigil, quiet movement, then 65% will rise in time, go with it.

If the skill is not auto. I.e. Charge, Back stab, knock out, trip, then I take it to 75%. Even at low ranks, I want the best chances for my skills to work, well, at least I wish to minimalize my chances for failure.

As I said, for each their own way, the only wrong choice is hesitation.
