Whoa... these things are amazing! i didnt know you could do all these things with them! im using one for a led mod right now, then i'm making a rapidfire chip, then connecting one to my 360 and the power pin and a ir reciever, to turn on my 360 with the remote. not sure why i'm doing that one, the controller turns it on, but that'll be fun. anybody got any fun/cool/creative mods/circuits/things you've done with PIC microcontrollers? or any ideas for things to do?

I've been using 12f683's now, but i can program up to like 32 pins or something like that, just looking for cool stuff to do

Not knocking your hobbies, everyone has them. I have one uncle who built his own plane, and another who reads the obituaries and crosses the names out of the phone book. But if your looking for something cool to do that I feel you would be really good at? Roll a gnome and RP an inventor.

I have done alot of 360 controller modding myself. Rapid fires, 3 mode fires, LED swaps, LED installs, paint jobs. Its all just useless as far as furthering yourself. Sure you have a neat controller, but the hours spent on it are futile since you cannot really sell it for all that much (a ready to go mod chip, with resist0rs and wires is like 12 dollars, and those micro LEDs are literally sold in hundreds.) You really wanna do cool crap, and make money. Then start writing Iphone apps. You can punch out ANY program, and they will buy it. I mean if they charge a dollar for it, 80 people have to download it for them to break even.
