ullquiora
Can anyone explain, as an American, how I can get benefits with the new health care plan? I've heard it is great for people like me, but frankly, I've found little information on HOW to use it.

EDIT: PM me if you want to do it that way. I'll give you the facts, either way, just the facts. Some things happen immediately. EDIT2: Follow this link and click the state with the interactive map. It's a start. Semi-biased (some things are left out, like being fined for not carrying health insurance, however, some people will be covered by Medicaid automatically and if you live at home you can be on your parents insurance until the age of 26, etc...) but factual for the most part. http://www.healthreform.gov/
Croyvern
yeah, so I am a contractor. Great pay, no benefeits. Personal healthcare is WAY too expensive so my wife and I do the nest egg thing. We killed it with my cancer surgeries but have rebuilt it again. According to what I have read, this new plan will put me and my partners out of work. We can not afford insurance so the government is going to fine us for not having it, its really just another liberty being stolen by the man. Only this time its a democrat swinging the whip. Also the new plan will allow you to not be judged for pre-existing conditions. In the old system your previous cancer issues would cause you to have escalated health care insurance costs. This wont be the case in th enew system.
