Sandbox
i have this thing called compartment syndrome and I've had it for about 4 years. The military has been telling me its nothing and made me keep running as much as 3 miles 3 times a week. Now I'm having to get surgery and if its too severe have my legs below the knee amputated. i feel like i'm going to vomit the more i think about it. Dizz
It sounds like the military lied to you. Compartment syndrome is a hard one to recover from. Did you have a crush injury? Good luck with the surgery. I mean it.
Enethier
good luck man. just remember that in the military, you dont even have to have a high school diploma to "practice medicine". If you have any, get all your documentation showing when you brought the issue up with anyone in your chain, or the hospital, it will really save you a lot of headaches. best wishes, and keep your head up. dont think about the worst. i have faith you'll pull through the procedure without a hitch. f0xx
Ouch. And my brother was refused acceptance in our military because he had some strange illness that might show up after 40 years (he is 20 at the moment). I was refused acceptance because I can't see well in far away distances (so I have to wear glasses). That sucks to be honest, good luck though. Teralis
Damn that really sucks man though I feel your pain. I cannot say it is a severe as you but I injured my knees during my time in Cuba and now the VA is trying to claim there is nothing wrong with them. The problem keeps getting worse and my knees and shins hurt worse every day and still they say it is in my head. Sometimes it makes me wish I had never served as I wish they took better care of their own. If it comes to surgery I wish you the best and keep us updated.
