maybe its just me' date=' but I have always just exercised regularly through the different sports my kids play and playing raquet ball with my wife..and eat whatever I want....6'2" 200lbs...[/quote'] I know, its hard for me to give people advise on weightloss. I was graced with the metabolism of an half-elf. I added it up once, my calorie intake is well over 5000 cpd. Yet, I have to drink a gallon of milk every two days if I want to stay over 135 lbs. And I am not, nor have I ever been fond of milk. So I generally stay around 130. Sure glad god made me short.

Eat some nitrean http://atlargenutrition.com/nutrition_detail.php?products_id=1

if you can't get enough protein during the day. Atlarge has some good supplements but remember they are just that - supplements to an already healthy diet. A program like fitday (link posted above) can help you see what you are taking in and then you can check out your fat/protein/carb/calorie equation and mess with the numbers to get the results you want. By keeping up with your protein and using those muscles via weightlifting or cardio, your body will choose the fat to eat for energy instead of the muscle. The key thing here is that you eat good things in appropriate amounts and do some type of activity to keep the muscles in use. You absolutely must eat more frequent meals and get enough of the good stuff so that your body does not think it is starving. If you workout and do not eat, you will waste what lean mass you do have and keep all the stored high energy fat.

BMI actually is not that valid of a scale for this type of thing. Do not pay so much attention to the "lose 80 lbs" as to the need to get leaner, meaner, and ready for service. A person who is obese and fat will weigh less than a person who has alot of lean muscle mass. The muscle is heaver than the fat. If your focus is just the weight then there are alot of options for you to destroy your body trying to lose it. Try to get your nutrition straight and keep using your muscles and you will be on the right path.

I went and had my "your 30 now" check-up. Perfect blood pressure, very low cholesterol, and excellent health.

The problem with blindly using BMI (not that I am sayin thats what your doing, just some do) is that its a uniform system, and we are far from uniform. Personally if someone told me I was overweight, I would tell them to piss off.

I completely agree with this. Bmi expects me to way 172 pounds at six two. I can somewhat see the 208 the military wants, but 172 to weigh what is classified as normal, then i will look like a starved child lol. Personally im not agreeing with the whole bmi concept. Guess I should have made my previous post on it seem sarcastic. lol.
