mmajunkie
So I just read a report (old news I think but I'm just finding out) that Jean Claude Van Damme will be fighting in K-1 against Somluck Kamsing...the winner gets to fight for the championship. JCVD is 50, not too much older than Randy Couture is still doing well. His professional fighting career (admittedly over 20 years ago) left him with an almost flawless record of 18-1 with all wins coming by way of KO/TKO and his only loss was a 2nd round decision against a teammate (JCVD TKO'd him in their later rematch) Should be interesting to watch at least :-)
HBwillie
Did it ever happen?
mmajunkie
It is still supposed to happen at the end of the year. I think they have agreed to something like no elbows to the face? JCVD's management (film management) won't agree to let him fight unless the risk to his face is minimal. imo let him get cut up. chicks dig scars. and they look badass in action movies
Zavero
He already has a huge knot on the top of his head. What is wrong with a few more scars and dents?
HBwillie
I'd love to see him fight. He's my favorite childhood action star.

mmajunkie
Almost all 1st round KOs. He was a talented kickboxer in his prime....but that was 20 years ago. His opponent won a gold medal 11 years ago. So it's almost a fight between two has-beens.... As others mentioned - I just want to see it because I loved his movies growing up and was a big inspiration to me in my own life when it came to my martial arts training.
