KRins
Soooooo... you are going to spam other forums with "COME PLAY FL NAO PLOX!!!111" messages? EDIT: I wasn't trying to come across as a complete asshat here, despite having accomplished just that. I forgot smiley faces that say, "This is me being incredibly indirect in a quest for a little more info on your ideas."
ullquiora
Negative, sir. The forum people are more for research, and giving us their signature space among other very whitehat stuff. Thanks for the sig, though.
ullquiora
To be clear, this will all be above-board. If you think you have the yarbles, please send me a PM on which one you would like to try.
Mmm Coffee
Ok - I'm curious. PM me if you still need people. I fall more into the "Have an hour to spare every week" category.
Twinblades713
I'll be busy for nearly one more week as I finish up finals and all this homework and stuff, but after that I have a summer free, so sign me up.

KRins
I'm willing to hear you out. I kinda forgot to write that part, but I'm leaving the personal backdoor of "white hat or I walk". I tend to fall into a little of both categories, though the forums I troll tend to be similar to this one in that they are specifically targeted to an individual game. jibber
I've got plenty of free time. Count me in.
Aulian
I'll do what I can. Always willing to help although my available time is unknown, I'll commit what I can to the cause.
Imoutgoodbye
*chuckles* I wish you all luck. I tried this via Wizards of the Coast a few years ago on my lonesome. *pats himself on the back* However, if there's something you know I don't know maybe you could teach me and I'll have another go through them. I should be finished moving to the new apartment in another day or two and I'm not going to do a damn thing except sit at this computer Wednsday and Thursday. Why? I worked Memorial Weekend. corpsestomp
Pfft, I'm working Sat-Mon. Anyway, like somebody said, I visit other forums, but usually for a specific game, not anything broad. I do have quite a bit of free time on days off, and I wouldn't mind doing a little something if I can, even though I rarely log on lately. I do write pretty well, and could even edit for grammar/spelling if needed. I can't commit to anything fully though.

Imoutgoodbye
*shrug* Whatever time it is, I probably won't make it. I'm going to bed right now. I'm up later than usual. But I can play catch up later. I'm feeling aggressive. Let's ****ing do this! YEAH! Jump on the tiger, you can feel his heart, but you know he's mean. Some light can never be seen. Celerity
Can't we just talk here? Maybe you could post what you had in mind for us...
Implementor Anume Posted May 31, 2010 Implementor Report Share Posted May 31, 2010 I'd also prefer if you would talk about it here. We've never promoted ooc chats in general as the danger for ooc abuse in game is very high.
ullquiora
Inevitably, the authors will need to cooperate in a more conducive environment once this starts going. Using a forum as primary means of communication does make things harder. Articles will need to be passed around in the original format not just to me, but between the authors themselves. Since not all people involved want their personal email given out, there is a problem that needs to be solved. Which is a lesser evil; instant messengers or a DCC capable chatroom? I suppose that is something to mull over. For now I would be happy to keep it to the forum, in hopes that I can remain organized enough! Heh. ullquiora
Contributing Authors I might as well prattle off the first phase of what this cunning plan entails for the initial volunteers. I need one three hundred to five hundred word article a week from those who said they have that available hour a week. The spelling and grammar does not need to be perfect or even great. The topic will ideally be designated by me at first. This will help establish guidelines for following articles. The article will contain either small or large mention of the game and URL of the official website tied in to it in some original but not too obvious way. These articles will be submitted to around 11 to 20 content sites for income. The sites will be given non-exclusive rights to the content. Full rights would preferably be given to the project and game, although this obviously is open to private discussion. The revenue generated will be funneled in to a pay pal account for use in phase two. Another purpose of this is for the back links from Google recognized websites that this will produce. Ideally, we need about five-hundred backlinks though around two-hundred will do. There is another way we also will be generating back links which will be explained in a moment. If you have any other questions for the contributing author request, please let me know. Otherwise, I will begin to PM subjects and guidelines to the people who expressed interest in helping. If you are no longer interested, then you can feel free to bail out at any time. I am not going to hold anyone to anything. This goes without mentioning, but no one will be given any compensation or in game bonus for helping out. That warm, fuzzy feeling in your gullet is all that you will receive. Forum Signature and Site Link Donations This one is a bit simpler. I already mentioned that we need back links. We need people to donate either their signatures on other forums, or a small place on their MYSPACE/FACEBOOK/Website/Whatever. We will provide the content and link to be included in to it. This is excellent passive help, without spending much time doing it. Every time you post on a forum, you will be giving us a back link and traffic. Your Facebook and Myspace will also provide a GREAT amount of traffic! This may seem like the easy route, but it will be no less appreciated than the other mentioned methods. DIGG IT? If you have a bit of time but are not a terrific writer have no fear! There are some content submission sites that only require a link. We need a few people of whom are willing to send them the website link, and any recent article links brought to their attention once or twice a week (or more if you feel frisky.) This will generate traffic, backlinks, and potential revenue just by submitting a link. This is like voting on steroids. A list of sites to submit to are below in order of importance. Digg.com : #1 The most powerful, easy to use and drive most traffic to us. Fark.com : Great. Farking great. Stumbleupon.com : Great but hard to navigate. Reddit.com : Amazing but limited in URLS added. i-am-bored.com : Needs permissions from content editors. News.ycombinator.com : Fast and easy. ullquiora
Fixed a typo in the first deadline. Yes, a bad mistake. Anyways, we are shooting for the first wave to go out on the 7th (monday). I was really hoping that more than 9 people including myself would be able to help make this happen. That being said, do you think a couple more of you might be able to find 20 minutes to throw 300 words together? Hell, the average application tends to be longer!
