KRins
Well.. I believe we are somewhere near 5 minutes from kickoff of the first match, let's hear some predictions! Who will win it all? You can put me on the board for Spain. Fernando Torres is healthy and scored in their last friendly. Casillas in goal. An amazing midfield. A stout backline. This is the year that Spain finally wins it all!

KRins
Messi is absolutely disgusting, but I seem to recall Maxi Rodriguez being THE Argentina player in the last cup. He (Messi) almost strikes me as a money player. For Barca is he magical... for country he can disappear on the pitch from time to time.
Mindflayer
Argentina. Messi is an animal. Second fav is Spain. A five foot, six and a half inch beast! I still love Manchester United.
KRins
A five foot' date=' six and a half inch beast! I still love Manchester United.[/quote'] Thanks Mindflayer... thanks for reminding me that we both have the same small man disease and he is a hero the world over... thanks for putting my feeble flailings in true perspective... Man U can go take a flying assleap into the Thames... LIVERPOOL!

f0xx
A five foot' date=' six and a half inch beast![/quote'] That is exactly what makes him even bigger beast! And KRins, I really don't wanna comment that thing about him playing for money... I think you've got him mistaken with girly Ronaldo... Anyway, Messi if a ****in' beast man! Go Argentinaaaaa!!!! I think you've got him mistaken with girly Ronaldo... Anyway, Messi if a ****in' beast man! Go Argentinaaaaa!!!! I'm not trying to say that he is Ronaldo... no one will ever be that big of a waste of talent. I am just saying sometimes when he is wearing light blue and white he isn't the same man who wears Barca red and blue. It could boil right down to the system and quality around him... but it is easy to point to the money. I think this year will be completely different though. Diego will feed his beast... Messi is my pick for the gold ball... but one man does not a team make.
f0xx
I don't know if you are aware of the offer Man. City made him? Ofcourse money are important, but I think the guy is just way too used to his surroundngs in Barca. Also, we've had the same case in our country with Berbatov. When he was in his old team he played well. When he moved in Man U though, things didn't go so well. Same thing goes for the national team... the guy simply looks like a girl dancer on the field... I really hope to see some good things from Messi on this Cup though
KRins
Hey now... I've been a Berbatov fan since he was on Tottenham Hotspur. Yeah he's kinda fragile for a big boy... but he's got real talent.

KRins
hmmmm...Arjen Robben's injury scares me too much for the Dutch. I do love me some Dirk Kuyt though...
Akoz
Yeah injuries is why I didn't go for England.. they have top class players, but are coming off a rough "season". Argy, Brazil, maybe spain if they play top game... but Holland USA and England have poise to pull off an upset
ladyoki
I'm just going to say my favs... Uruguay Diego Forlan Germany Lukas Podolski and Valek, I've taken you off my list of favorites. Really Brazil?!?!? shame shame
KRins
Forlan missed the net from the top of the 6yard box in the second half today... Love him as a player...but he cost his team 2 points today.

KRins
Its like being a yankees fan. Most people have no reason to like them except, "HEY THEY WIN LOTS!" If you offered any sort of reasoning, I'd be more accepting.
ladyoki
I didn't get the chance to watch the game today thanks for reminding me. . But this was one game. 0 to 0. as I said before, these are just my fav teams. I have Uruguyan blood. Both of my parents are born there. so I can't help but have pride. Anyways, there are too many teams for me to chose from, Uruguay, U.S., England, Argentina, Spain, Germany and France. Just to name a few. and to say one thing Kaka is one of my fav players. you could see the irony in that. As for my post about Valek, it was a joke. to Valek's question.... it's just old rivalry. Imoutgoodbye
I know it was a joke...there seems to be a lot of heat towards Brazil, so I was curious. As for reasoning, Krins, my man, seen the females cheering for Brazil?
ladyoki
the heat towards brazil is just dumb. I could be wrong, but doesn't Brazil hold the title of most world cup wins..... going to look that up later.
