FatMike
I knew about street fighter but the game I'm thinking of was even before that. He was a ninja dude that had to run along from left to right. He was alone, jumping from walkways and stuff.....frick this was from the mid 80's maybe....I can't remember much about the game though. FatMike
Could be, that was so long ago I don't even remember the platform. Was it super nes?
mya
Street fighter 1 came out before Snes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryu It was ninja gaiden. I always thought Ryu as translated to english as "Way", this dragont thing i think is not real. It is normaly used in MA, do say style, Like GoJu-Ryu... Anyway: (流, literally "flow", with the derived meaning of "mainstream"), or ryūha (流派, literally "mainstream school (of thought)"), is a Japanese word referring to a school of thought in any discipline. In English, the word is frequently used to refer to schools of Japanese martial art, although it can also be found used in other disciplines (for example Nihonkoryu and Sogetsu-ryu in ikebana, Kanteiryū in calligraphy, etc.). In the original Japanese, ryū and ryūha are synonymous, with ha (originally meaning "tributary") being a smaller division than ryū (originally meaning "body of water"). Ryū is also often translated as "style" (style of martial art, style of calligraphy, style of cooking, etc.).
Pieman
Lots and lots of games have used Ryu as a character Ryu from the Street Fighter series. Ryu Hayabusa from the Ninja Gaiden series (Later the DOA series as well.) Ryu was the name of the protagonist in all of the Breath of Fire games by capcom. The Shirai Ryu was Sub Zero's ninja clan in the Mortal Kombat series. Most likely many more as well that I cannot think of right now because I'm too hungry to think. EtsoShex
Where, might I ask, does one go about finding elvish, dark elvish, orcish, etc. dictionaries? And is the orcish one bound in bones and human skin? 'Cause I'd totally buy it.
Pieman
Look online, google has some good ones, for Orcish look up "Black Speech Dictionary" for dwarvish try "Dwarven Dictionary" and any monkey with a computer can find an elvish one. Chumps.
