mmajunkie
Roy Nelson is a glutton for punishment....much respect for so much heart. Clay Guida wins by Submission (pressure to jaw) ...is that even a move? haha Matt Hughes submits another gracie blackbelt...Matt Hughes actually lives like 90 minutes away from me in a college party town, I've run into him a couple times. Mad respect for this guy.... Alves looked like a joke tonight...sad, really. He's a talented fighter. Main Event time!! wow, what a fight. im sure the silva lovers are gonna discredit sonnen in that entire fight now because of silva's comments about his ribs. this needs a rematch. something told me sonnen was gonna get caught...props to silva for still being able to pull it off that late in the fight. This was one of the better nights in UFC fights, in my opinion, in quite some time. All the fights on the main card were brilliant. Not just one or two fights...all of them. mmajunkie
No, but I do have a blackbelt in karate and once I had reached that level there was a lot of grappling in our blackbelt classes . I've thought about enrolling in a local school and trying though, just for fun.
KRins
You would be surprised how much sheer crushing force you can exert on another person's face. I've tapped numerous times in the gym just to the pressure... and I'm one of those "I'll never tap even when its good for me usually" sort of guy. It literally feels like your jaw is bending in half...and you know full well it WILL snap eventually. If you have managed to/will return to decent shape, you should check out some grappling mmajunkie. A good BJJ school is tops, but even one of the billion MMA gyms popping up everywhere will teach you some. You'd be surprised how fast you will gas out your first couple weeks, and how great your feel (maybe not the bruised parts) a month later. In my biased opinion, BJJ/Wrestling/Sub. Grappling is the best 'cardio and resistance training in one' activity... not to mention it has the added mental training factor a lot of people don't really consider before walking in the gym. mmajunkie
lol you guys like to make fun of my pictures I am in very decent shape. I wouldn't say great shape because I've got some midsection work and leg work to do still. I have great cardio, I run 3 miles almost every day. I'd give you my whole weightlifting history from karate, soccer, football, and just for personal growth, but meh. So I wouldn't exactly be starting from the bottom of the barrel here. got lots of work to do just like anyone else if I wanted to take it seriously...but really, I'd just like to compete locally for fun. I don't have dreams of being on a UFC ppv
