WagesofSin
Can anyone give me some advice in choosing a berzerker path? I'm not a complete newbie, but I'm not great either. Any help?
mya
Well: PATH FOCUS As the berserker comes to power in his or her guild, they are required to choose a path of focus for their deadly arts of rage and further hone their anger towards a certain style. Three paths are avaliable, and unless chosen, the berserker will remain only capable of producing the bland, unfocused rage he has used since his birth. The following paths are possible: path of anger path of fury path of devastation You may gain further help for each skill. RAGE FOCUS As the berserker rises in power and begins to focus upon his chosen path, they gain an additional ability reflected by their choices from path focus. path focus rage focus anger skull crusher fury powergrip devastation bloodhaze You may gain further help for each skill. Basicaly you path focus will determine you skill selection, from the above list. Suicidal Ogres are specialy suited for Devastation Path. And i recall someone saying that Anger Path was the mage killer. Try to read eatch special skill help, since they hit at something sometimes. WagesofSin
It seems that Path of Fury is not used much, does it suck?
mya
I think os, but i never played a berserker to 50. Anyhow check this thread on the polls section about this. http://forum.forsakenlands.org/showthread.php?t=1385
Deykari
Basically, Anger is the weakest of the rages in terms of bonuses when raged but you can relax in combat. Fury is stronger, however you can't relax in combat, only out of combat. Devastation is the strongest, however, don't even bother practicing relax because there's no point. There are the rage focus skills too, those are in the help files. I think for a good few race/zerker combos, that a lot of people say Anger is the way to go, but in my opinion just play the one that sounds most appealing to you. Goomf
If a minotaur, I would suggest fury...doublegripping an axe and dual wielding another axe is just priceless.
Deykari
Is that possible? Although minotaurs can use two-handed in one hand, double grip takes a one-handed weapon and allows you to hold it with two, correct? Dual wielding would require a third hand.. Dey
Goomf
yea it's possible. With my mino zerker, I doublegripped the master forgeman hammer and dual wielded another master forgeman hammer. Asked the imms if it's a bug and they said it isn't.

WagesofSin
I don't get it, how does your character hold on to the other weapon if both your hands are occupied?
Tom
It's powergrip, not double grip.

Dey I don't know if I can/can't say this. But from my expirements they all grant same bonuses to hit/dam, but they last different amounts of time. If this is taboo please, RAARGANT, sacrifice this post to the red marker of doom.

Deykari
Yea, emp_newb, I wasn't getting at that. Minotaurs can wield any two axes (even two handed axes). When goomf said he double-gripped an axe (Double-grip is gripping a weapon with two hands) and dual-wielded another, that technically means you'd need three hands. delfytheelfy
or tie them both together, end to end... like pugiling a double ended axe.. haha or with big enough hands can just hold them like that.

If that is the case, it makes devastation/fury seem slightly less appealing... Dey
Tom
When goomf said he double-gripped an axe He's not double-gripping it, he's powergripping it.
Deykari
Yea, I was posting in response to the double-gripping question. Dey EDIT: And powergrip is a natural extension of double-grip, according to the help files. Still holding it with two hands...
Balgashang
Hrrm, with my minotaur, I tried wielding that hammer, said I needed 25 str to do so...minotaurs cap at 23 for str.
Unknown Brother
I have seen many a minos using that hammer, sure you have the right one?
Balgashang
Talking about the hammer thats really an axe from the fire giant in the cold place right? Not sure if this is too much info to post or not, but I definetly had the full str for a minotaur, tried wielding it primary and it said was too heavy, tried double gripping it and was still too heavy....unless it had something to do with the socket that was attached that could have made it too heavy? Lore said it was 25 str required, or examine, whichever does which heh, if I posted too much info, I'm sure Raar will get out his marker, apologies if we have went too far in depth about the weapon. Raargant
There are definite boosts to fury and devastation as compared to anger, even if they aren't necessarily shown by hitdam. No, I won't tell you what they are Also, certain sockets are VERY heavy, and can greatly increase the weight of anything they are socketed to (one of them, I won't tell you which, weighs 30 pounds!). They are probably the reason why that certain weapon (which IS usable by minotaurs) was so heavy. The information given out hasn't been too bad so far, but starting to skirt the borderline.
