OMG Noise Iritation

So there is this new bar near my apartments that has extremly loud music, I find it hard to sleep at night. There so has to be laws against this kind of torture!

When I can hear what song they are playing in my apartment while im my computer it's to loud.

Or go down to the bar and tell them to quiet down else you will begin filing noise complaints... or demand free drinks.

I have followed this problem myself in the past. Noise complaints will FAIL if the Tavern existed before the rental property. Otherwise it is the right avenue. If however, your landlord, converted the property into a rental property since the bar opened then it will start an investigation by the zoning board. To see who is out of order, the commercial business or the residential rental. If the Bar is across the street for instance, it could be that both the apartment and the Bar are in proper zones (commercial/residential) If this is the case, which it was in mine, your complaints will likely be addressed long after you move, and with no "standing support" for your side, the complaints will be dropped against the bar. Not quoting laws here, just sharing REAL life experiences.

It's not event hat close like over 1/4 mile away and I can hear that damn music!
