Pali
How hard it is to get the study and come back in town to medidate ot it though? And how many ticks of study do you need to get a full study? If your opponent is actively avoiding you, it's very hard to get the study. And you need several ticks of studying, even with falcon eye, to get a full study.
the_nightmare
I don't understand where you get the idea that assassinate is supposed to be a stealth skill. Ninjas simply are not designed to outmelee warriors, rangers, zerks, vampires, saders, blm, bmg. Coupled with poison brews, resistances, immunities some of these simply cannot be strangled. How in the world can a ninja stand up to them then? Imo the strategy is supposed to be an active one. This is what I meant, I will absolutely 100% agree with tassinvegeta here.Beside assassinate I just don't stand ANY chance agains this classes.Just caltraps and nerve pressure have to be pumped up, because after all this is the only thing that ninja has.Hopefully I found push quite usefull. HELP NINJA: Ninja is a profession of disciplined warriors who shun the heavy combat of warriors and their ilk, and concentrate on more exotic stealthy ways of eliminating their prey. Dale
You aren't going to make a fire giant drop a 4 str weapon, no matter what you you do to him as a ninja, unless you disarm ofcoarse. In my book as of now however thieves are more of a ninja than ninjas are.

cookiecutterbox
In regards to the study/meditate thing. Last I saw, you only lose the study that you haven't meditated on once you do damage to someone. So if they attack you and all your attacks the first round are dodged/parried or if you flee right after they engage you, you won't lose it. jibber
Which is what I was saying. If someone dirt kicks you, and you flee before the next round and you gained like 2 ticks of study, you're fine. As long as they don't re-engage and you dont hit or dodge/parry their attacks you keep your study.
Mindflayer
Phamane your knowledge of the ninja class improved drastically since our first battles. I enjoyed our battles as Grum. I'd like to point out that drow/elf ninjas aren't made for melee. Try an undead ninja, or a feral watcher (stalker) ninja if you want to really be able to melee.
