Wait times at 30 for a quest something right now compared to relative worth in this size pbase is enough to make almost anyone sour in their stomach. Unless you want the anxiety and torture, roll up a low exp pen and get to 50 and feel out the water. Then maybe make a 30 project to apply with while ur bored on ur 50

After all the qraces and crap I've applied for, I've found a line of thinking to make it easier on myself. I play more than anyone here, so if you think that YOUR waiting feels like forever...try playing 15 hours a day and wondering why after day 2 you don't have Demon :P I learned very quickly how to deal with it.

1) Don't EXPECT it. Just because you rolled and applied don't mean ****. I personally think 90% of the people who apply should get what they want just because this is a game we play, we take the time to apply and RP, we should get the benefit of the doubt. HOWEVER, that is not the way the world works and you need to accept it, just like I did. This is not your game, it is not my game, it is their game.

2) Think about 2 weeks out. Keep telling yourself that 14 days from now you will be Demon/Vamp/whatever. Don't rush any IMM, don't be pushy, just play. For two weeks. After two weeks if you haven't gotten any special attention that makes you feel like you got it or you don't, then post a POLITE prayer forum post and ask if there is anything you could do more of or do better.

3) RP RP RP RP. I was once told that a 3-0 PK record at 30 (SOLID Pks, not u jumping someone training or ganking them while ranking) is enough to pass the PK aspect of it all. Be original with your RP, try not to be cookie-cutter. Some things you can't avoid, but try to put a twist on it. Don't be afraid to think out of the box or take something from real life and put a spin on it.

I could go on, but I hope that helps someone.

Man, this is a GAME. We put our time into it to prevent it from dieing out, cause it really seems like that's the way it's headed with a max of 20 chars on. After we put our hearts into one charecter and wait for a long time, even if we are a pain in the ***, bothering the admins all the time and stuff, I believe we deserve to play what we want. Please tell me about someone not disapointed from geting his char's application rejected after a 200 hours wait? Does it make the GAME better? "You need to deserve your q-thingy" THIS IS A GAME!

I agree that there is a problem with 30's applications.

They take to much time to make the game enjoyable, because frankly there is nothing to do anymore at 30's range.

All interesting things are at pinacle. The other ranks are just a grind, since we lack enough player in lower ranks.

What was once a working system is not a semi-broken one.

We should adapt. And change Undead/Demon apps to the 30-50 range.

In the mean time you should make due what we have.

Create an original RP angle and sit in the Commons talking to everyone. That sure made my time pass on my Undead app. PK will come find you.

This is not -our- game, that is the point. It is their game and they hold the keys, they are the gatekeepers. Believe me, I've been in your shoes and I have fought that battle.

Does it suck? Yes

Does it feel like it isn't fair in a lot of ways? Yes

Is there anything you can do about it? No

There is a fine line between making the game "fun" for all the disgruntled qrace applicants and preserving this games integrity and challenge.

The game isn't here to give you everything and anything you want, that defeats the purpose of balance. I do think that perhaps some fine tuning could be done in the application process/procedure, but that is neither here nor there.

Fact is this is a game with traditions, etiquette, and rules. You either abide by and follow them, or you whine about the consequences. Doesn't mean those rules, etc are particularly correct BUT while they are in affect we have nothing else to do but accept it. This is not a democracy, it IS a dictatorship.

Megayea just to point out there's no way you were waiting at 30 for 200+ hours. Maybe 50+ or so, maybe your char had close to 150.

I waited 250 hours with zenophobynt. 100 at 30 for my acceptance, 100 to run into malch (we actually had to plan ooc to run into eachother) and 50 to get to 30.

I saw kemrin a few times. Istendil has ~450 hours and you weren't around 200 of those.

I agree with both the junkie and the megayea here. But 100 hours for waiting is a LOT.I mean if you play an hour a day, this is three-four months. If you play three hours a day which is normal, this is one month which is a lot.I mean that it takes a lot of less time if someone really wants to put his heart into the character.I remember when Rathe approved me for undead when I was at level 20, with no RP or PK just training at the crows but with really nice application.
