Pali
Apparently, a Dr. Giulio Tinoni has been pioneering a fairly new interpretation of the science of consciousness with fairly promising results based on information theory, examining how consciousness arises from the complex networks of neural activity that humans have. The New York Times ran a piece on it this week. I find it an interesting concept that makes a good deal of sense (to my layman's understanding, anyways), though some better experimental evidence in its favor would be very helpful, and hopefully can be produced in the near future.
