Wathok
Steal is very useful. If you can't outfight your opponent, then rob them of the items you feel are important to keep in your own inventory. Also, look through your list of skills and figure out which one combines VERY well with your Tribunal abilities.
mya
I thought menbers of the Law where required to be always visible when on town ? Is this no longer the case ?

Designated_Driver
Incorrect. Members of the Tribunal are required to be visible when they are: 1) Watching over a city (not capturing criminals) 2) Marking a criminal- the criminal must know which Tribunal marked them and why This may be incorrect, but I have spoken with Martineius about it, and he made it fairly clear that, at least with this "regime", it was considered accepted that when apprehending a criminal, a Tribunal need not be visible. Aulian
so generally all the time, unless they can justifly say they are on a hunt. Which would mean the thief would be visible anyway cause there is no way he can justify "sitting in the city hidden and waiting for him to walk past" as hunting a criminal

Raargant
I think it'd depend on the cabal IMM in question, and how strictly he wishes to view it. For example, if a Tribunal is at awful condition, and needs to hide or is going to immediately die, and hides/sneaks/leaves the city, I don't think he'd be terribly upset. delfytheelfy
Actually' date=' we've come to a final consensus. ALWAYS be visible and non-hidden in town. I imagine that in rare, extreme cases (you are at low hp and someone's about to kill you, but you manage to hide in town and sleep while hidden), it might be fine, but general rule=always be visible/unhidden.[/quote'] Quoted from Raar

FatMike
I really don't find anything wrong with that at all. Or Plathar doing it, or any Trib that can ca 'invis' doing it in that situation. As long as they don't flag anyone a criminal while hidden, camo, or invis.

MrAdeptus
Unless I am mistaken, if a thief/ninja caught meerdus hiding couldn't they kill him without repercussions? Meerdus can't be hidden during a crime to flag.
FatMike
If they could keep him in the fight long enough to kill him I'd say yes, if he flees and stays unhidden and they re-attack it would be different.

MrAdeptus
I would think that its more of an Ig matter, someone breaking the codex, or is the codex a kind of game mechanic set of laws to keep balance?
mya
Personaly i think the law should never strike from the shadows. But then idea of a thief or ninja as a law enforcer is a bit currupt. And there is the balance thing, of them being able to see in the shadows. There is a reason why thieves blackjack does not makes enemies yell, and they get a Gag skill. All I can do is wonder the crying of Meerdus hiding in the shadows. Everyone should know that non-hiding thief is dead thief. And per Martineius' order, Meerdus did hide in the shadows in lawful areas only, when pursuing someone inside the town (meaning that mere running thru the town as hidden was nono), or fleeing the scene. When criminal left the town, he came visible. ONLY ONCE happened such that he couldn't mark law-breaker because he was hiding. Also, the crying and moaning honestly went on hilarious levels. Come on guys. Fight the odds, dont cry about them. Meerdus got his *** kicked pretty badly even when "abusing" the hide-skill. Those dudes who didn't cry about it, killed him. So go figure. Overall, I doubt I'll ever again make Tribunal Thief - I suck with that combo. And I hope that Azantar got nothing out from my corpse. And I'm GLAD it's finally OVER! Aaargh! Come on dudes, you should have conned him earlier, the longer he lived, the more frustrating it was to play him. I would have deleted him long, long ago if I wouldn't have played with idea "To the bitter end." But yet, I learned lotsa things, which was main purpose of the char. Yet, what use it would be to hide when there's enemy around who can detect hidden? Only lagging yourself to death. Yet, the thief/ninja could also be marked for assisting criminal, if not for assaulting the tribunal... Who knows! Bicker that all yourselves... Chayesh
Good job on the condeath. Being a Tribunal is a hard job, if only for putting up with all the negative stuff on the forum. If your RP was to be a slightly corrupt, slightly dirty cop, you did a great job. Oh, and playerbase, that's TWO condead Tribunals. Overpowered, you say? For shame.
