Tyberidis' Visions Come to Life

[Volgathras]

You say 'I may not see you, but I can feel you near dark one.'

Colors, sounds seem to dull. A white mist rolls in to cloak your surroundings.

You scratch yourself on the head... confused.

You say 'Avatar, be ready I can not see as good.'

A figure appears in the mist - small, though heavily armored.

You say 'Is that one of the Hamlets warriors?'

As the outline approaches it takes on detail, looking very much like... you.

Tyberidis's Knight Avatar looks at you.

You say 'Don;t look at me look at him!'

You peer around yourself intently.

The figure standing in the mist is a spitting image of yourself, a warm smile playing on his lips.

However, the expresses slowly changes to one of dismay, as his throat - your throat - it slowly torn open from an unseen assailant.

You ponder the question.

You say 'Its a vision.'

Tyberidis feels his own throat cautiously.

As you bleed out, the image receeds, melting in to the surrounding mists.

You say 'This is not a good vision either.'

You peer intently at Tyberidis's Knight Avatar.

Another figure, this time slightly to your left. As it approaches something seems off.

Tyberidis looks closely at the new figure.

Closer still the vision draws, and as the mists receed you once again view a mirror image of yourself... impaled by a serrated spear.

Tyberidis begins to visibly tremble. 'These things can not be.'

Bits of entrails hang from your gut, torn to ribbons by the spear still thrust in your belly.

Tyberidis closes his eyes and squeezes them closed. 'Father Irumeru deliver me from the fear that assails my eyes.'

You say 'Avatar, do you see any of this?'

The mist is gone, replaced by a warm, white light which surrounds you.

Tyberidis's Knight Avatar says 'See what? I see nothing.'

Tyberidis's Knight Avatar shakes its head.

Tyberidis swallows dryly.

Tyberidis's Knight Avatar says 'Are you ok Sir?'

You say 'Perhaps Father Irumeru has shown me a glimpse of my future.'

Another vision, this one of a tall, stately man. His face is pleasant, and he stands before basked in a holy light.

Tyberidis's Knight Avatar says 'Sir you do not look well, are you eating your fair share of rations?'

Tyberidis stares in awe.

The god - for what but a god could stand the holy fire - smiles wlecomingly, opening his arms to draw you in an embrace.

You say 'Father Irumeru...'

Tyberidis's Knight Avatar says 'Sir you have gone pale, are you ok?'

Tyberidis prostrates himself in holy worship as he falls to his knees.

The image motions for you to rise, to come closer.

Tyberidis's Knight Avatar says 'You haven't been bitten have you, I will not serve with another of those.'

Tyberidis rises wordlessly.

Tyberidis glances at the Avatar 'Shh, his Holyness walks among us.'

Tyberidis walks slowly over to the image.

Tyberidis's Knight Avatar says 'Where I see nothing, are you sure you see someone?'

The being's smile is wide.. but, something strange. The grin continues to expand. Larger, wider...

His teeth are... sharp? Yes, and yellowed. As you draw closer still you notice the eyes are snake-like, and.. red!

Tyberidis's Knight Avatar says 'I see sweat on your brow, shall I check you for fever?'

You say 'Father Irumeru, what sharp teeth you have.'

You peer intently at Tyberidis's Knight Avatar.

The image melts away to reveal a hideous, flaming demon!

Tyberidis's Knight Avatar peers at you intently.

Fimgrehhal appears in a swirling mist.

Fimgrehhal HOWLS!

You yell 'Help! I am being attacked by Fimgrehhal!'

Your prayer has been disrupted.

You draw your weapon.

You wield a marmalade orb.

You parry Fimgrehhal's attack.

You block Fimgrehhal's attack with your shield.

ARRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!

Your magic misses Fimgrehhal.

You parry Fimgrehhal's attack.

Fimgrehhal tries to disarm your shield, but fails.

Fimgrehhal is in excellent condition.

(The battle commences, the flaming demon using all the magics in his arsenal to end the steadfast Knight.)

You say 'Its a trap!'

Fimgrehhal has some small wounds and bruises.

Your protective shield dissipates.

Fimgrehhal throws back his head and cackles with insane glee!

(The battle rages on, but the Knight would not be thwarted.)

You say 'We will drive it away!'

Fimgrehhal has quite a few wounds.

(Tyberidis calls upon the very essence of goodness to battle the demon.)

Fimgrehhal growls in agittation and flies away!

Fimgrehhal looks pretty hurt.

Fimgrehhal has fled!

Fimgrehhal flies east.

You say 'How could I have been so foolish!'

You peer intently at Tyberidis's Knight Avatar.

You say 'It was Irumeru.'

You say 'I would have sworn on my Life!'

Irumeru looks well upon you and grants you knowledge.

Tyberidis's Knight Avatar says 'Snap out of it Sir, it could happen to anyone.'

You say 'I must be more vigilant, and as much as I dislike the idea. less trusting.'

You sigh.

Tyberidis's Knight Avatar says 'I agree, trust can get you killed.'

You say 'I am pleased that I did not place you in danger Avatar, thank you for standing beside me.'

Tyberidis's Knight Avatar says 'Irumeru would not rely on such visions, he would outright open his arms to you, you are a good soldier.'

You say 'I seek only to please my lord and master, to be worthy of his affection.'

You say 'Such is the path of the pious.'
